Yup, this is 4. Supposedly, no one has replaced one yet.. I'm willing to try and see what I can do though. What exactly gets corroded on the sender when e85 is used?

Its the metal from what I hear. But I know B series guys who run straight e85 and had not one problem yet. So maybe we can swap the B series into our cage and see if it works. May take some wiring.

I think the electrical component is what gets corroded. Basically all the sender is, is a float with a needle on the cage. The higher the float the more gas you have. The needle reads based on where its located on its little circuit board type deal majig thingy. Lol

If you guys think theres a way to fuel-proof it or get one that will work, let me know. I have yet to guinea pig something. Granted this is my daily and this can be risky in a way, i'm down to find out. Ill post a pic of my cage tm hopefully

So I've quickly looked up the cages for your civic Si's and stumbled upon this.

It's utilizing the factory fuel level sender and is per 07civicmd's word, ethanol compatible.

I know of the dual pump cnc cage, but how is the oem fuel sender not being corroded in that cage setup? This boggles my mind even more than my GRE studies at nearly 1am.

Haha. That's kinda what I was wondering. Perhaps it's the lines/hoses in the tank that are corroding?

That cage will not fix the problem. They are simply saying the cage itself will not corrode in e85. The cage does not replace or change anything about your fuel sender board so it would still corrode with e85.

This is what you need to do: http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/force...o-400-e85.html
