Same lol... I've been told that if you are using the same main shaft in the same trans case that it doesn't need to be reshimmed.

But if you install an lsd, do you have to shim that part?

I think you do need to re-shim that area if you change out the LSD. When I was looking into shimming mine, I called a local transmission shop and they said they could check the couple measurements that I didn't have the tools for. Like a dial indicator thing for the mainshaft, like how far how it sticks... I'd have to look at the service manual again.

Yea, I might have to do the same and get someone to double check it. Don't want to invest in tools that im only going to use once or twice
