what i dont get is why other big name companys dont make wg's that run like this
^ I don't know why either. Great point, anyone care to chime in?
I believe full races idea was to have a forward facing turbo, Allow for the use of a bigger turbo then what could fit between the firewall and head. So far I haven't heard of many issues with FR sidewinders creeping. It's all been in the peakboost manifolds even after doing a 60mm gate someone had creep issues. I like this manifold but not sure how the air flow to the turbo is with the gate hitting and reflecting it back into the stream.
the FR manifold for the 8th gen actually doesnt face forward like for the rsx, its trapped between the hot ass engine and fire wall. i have to remove my cowling to prevent my engine bay from completly boiling. who knows how sitting back there effects the IAT's. Its super rediculous of a place to be set at. Its a PITA to do any turbo work. Ud have to remove the subframe for just about anything. god forbid u have a hose leak or something cuz then your fckd. i wish i could do it all over again and get a sidewinder or something and customize it to fit because im super unhappy with the way my turbo has to sit back there. FR could have easily made a sidewinder to go back there for the 8thgen.
the only problem with the 8th gen civics and that there is no one willing to lend their car to use it for mock up in phoenix. bodyman will get a manifold shortly to dyno it with his water to air setup. i was told yesterday that locash racing will MAYBE dyno the four door this week, thats a maybe. once i get any boost graph i will post asap :thumb:
the car is from phoenix. this manifold setup was on the car for wekfest and eibach and we took it the nisei this pass weekend
following :D
daum man if i didnt have my FR kit installed and tuned n all that id deffinatly do it. im in love with this manifold
