Took the trans back out of the car. Prior to tear down and purchase of the turbo components I had issues getting the car into 5/6 gears. Figured it was a synchro issue.

Turns out the hub was broken at all 3 channels where the synchro mates to the hub. It messed up both synchros pretty bad. You can see a good synchro vs the bad in the pictures below.

    Onto the pics.

    Enjoy....

My coupler for turbo to hot side came in

Still need to order the proper size tbolt clamps and feed and return lines.

So anyways.... I rewrapped the manifold and dump tube and finished wrapping the downpipe with DEI titanium wrap. Love that stuff.

I had one helluva time bolting the manifold to the head...

The guy who built it ran 2 m10x1.5 bolts in it. They are supposed to be 10x1.25 bolts.

I went to pepboys and bought their manifold bolt kit since I needed to install studs. One I got the studs in I found out half the holes didn't line up to the flange 100% so I went out and bought some bits for my dremel. Got well aquatinted with them for a while and finally got it on about 1am.

    Here's some pics.

That's where I left off last night. Tonight, I hope to get the gate on and positioned right, the boost controller lines and boost controller mounted, and lines ran. The turbo bolted tight, oil feed line ran, intercooler piping on, and water pump hooked back up..... That's a long list of stuff for only a couple hour window. We shall see what gets done.

Still need to relocate battery, and finish moving fuse box.

    PFTS is finally going turbo

Got the oil line and filter in.

Had to tighten the back lower turbo bolt with a special Allen key. One that I made myself. 5/16 was the right size but was retarded tight. And working blind wasn't helping. So I had to shave it down some to fit better. Also the exhaust flange was in the way for a traditional length Allen key or socket. So I had to cut one down.

I ordered 2 sets of t bolt clamps so far and neither worked the best. I shouldn't have cheaper out but I'm not paying attention 19 dollars per clamp from kseriesparts. So I took some 3.5" clamps and cut this area down some to allow more threads to show initially to get it started.

    Now they should fit well.

Got the turbo and center cartridge installed once the turbo to manifold bolts were tight.

Getting my oil pan back tomorrow hopefully.

So I got the gate in last night. Put a 4lb spring in it was told I can ramp that up a lot with the pmw booster and 4port solenoid by vitViper so I am anxious to see if it can hold near 4lbs. I have a feeling 6-8 is going to be the lowest it can hold.

Anyways... I also installed the turbo blanket, which btw is a lot of fun with the location of my turbo. Lol

Not a whole lot done last night, but it's progress.

Hope to get my oil pan back and get it on tonight along with the return line. Also going to put the water pump setup together and sealed up.
