Fitting Install DIY.
So here is a DIY on installing your typical braided hose type fitting.
You have your fitting here... In my case it's a -8an
You take and disassemble it like so
Then you take this end and push it onto the hose.
Now your left with this
You take the fitting and lube the tip up with a bit of anti seize or arp fitting lube then insert it into the end of the hose with your outer fitting on it like such
Now this is where things can vary between assembly.
I have these wrenches used specifically for this installation.
I also bought a clamp for the vice used to hold the fitting so you can tighten the ends together.
Now take the hose and the fitting that wraps around it and put it into the clamp/vice.
And put your wrench on and tighten until the two ends meet.
Take the assembled hose and spray the insides with parts cleaner to remove and excess lube from the hose and blow it out with compressed air. I like to do that 3 times over to ensure its all clean.
Now look at your handy work..
You can also just use 2 wrenches and tighten the fitting together that way. I had the tools to make things easier for me.
Hope you enjoy.

Do not push nylon hose into the fittings. They AN fitting it threaded so just twist is counter clockwise on the hose and it goes on very fast and easy.

I just did my entire fuel system and my AN fittings have threads so you just screw them on.
No sir! I cut them with a copper pipe cutter and then I put it on there and turned it counter clockwise and it went on just fine. I am a pro! Adam_rsx lol but the first time I did steel line it took me so long to get one fitting on.
