Yes its linear- but it makes boost a lot quicker on the low cam before the crossover due to back pressure in the cylinder head ( smaller cam lobe= not as much flow)- once it crosses to the high cam boost drops 2-3 psi then continues to build linearly until redline.

Check what your blower rpm's are. I ran 10 psi for a year or so before adding cooling. My set up it was 5.46(CP)/3(BP0x8600(RPM)=15,652 rpm's. On hot days you want to be smart and not do multiple pulls in a row but it is easily done. I ran at the 1/4 mile track and DD'd the car. Every set up will very buy set up do to air flow/exhaust flow. Allowing air more available to the blower is really beneficial as well. Like bigger inlets and bigger TB's.
