    17x8.5 + 245/40/17 = HellaFunctional

I recently got my wheels in 17x8.5 +35 because the stock wheels weren't cutting it. I got a great deal on a full set of Nexen N3000 tires, so I jumped on it. 245/40/17, has a nice tread pattern, great grip (ultra performance summer tire), and somewhat soft sidewall (only downside and that's if you're doing auto-x). Also has a 340 treadwear rating so it should last some time.

    Here's some pics:

More close ups of the tread pattern!!

Also, I have 18 x 9 +30-40 ish (cant remember) and HFP suspension. I should be able to fit 245's right?

Yea you'll definitely fit. These wheels are +45 but I'm running 10mm ichiba spacers and extended studs. I rub at like 5500+ at WOT because Go-Power springs in the rear are as soft as a baby's ass.

Those wider tires should definitely help with traction issues haha

Yea man I have nice traction so far, I'm happy with it but I need stiffer rear springs so I don't rub anymore. Stupid companies

I'm running the Go-Power coilovers, they make them strictly for the 06-11 civics. Great coilovers, but their rear springs are soft as ****. They're 2.5" ID IIRC but I'm not sure of the height. I need to find another company that is compatible and has 12k rears.

GP doesn't have a direct replacement with a higher spring rate?

I spoke to Jeff today, he informed me that he has 10k springs coming in 2-3 weeks so I'm gonna wait and grab a pair of those. Problem with the manufacturer apparently..
