    My VTEC Broke

Time for an upgraded build... some may know, my built motor skipped time, destroying pretty much every valve. So now I'm building my spare block for the 08 Si.

    - ERL is building the block: sleeved, 1/2" head studs and O-ringed (fuck you head lift... we're not that good of friends).
    - 88mm bore (2.1L) K20Z3
    - 11.0:1 c/r JE pistons
    - Manley Turbo Tuff rods
    - ERL S2000 Oil pump
    - Portflow K20Z3 head w/ standard size Supertech valves
    - Custom Jeff cams (used to be GO Power, now @ Skunk2). Something like 14.2mm lift intake & 14.2mm lift exhaust, exact specs I will never share (heh...)
    - Comp CT43-6767 turbo (upgrading my 6465 into a 6767, 700-800 wasn't enough apparently)

Oh yeah... ERL S2k pump on a Z3 block w/ Z3 oil pan...

    Stay tuned for more!

Nice! I'm with everyone, can't wait to see more. As for the ERL S2k pump, has it ever been done on a z3 block and oil pan? More details on that as you get em

I actually have a customer in Brazil that has done the ERL S2k pump on a Z3 block and pan. He did the same thing I did. It's actually pretty easy.

You can see where I ground the lip off the pump here:

Once that lip is out the bolt circled hits the pan here (where I ground away):

The grinding goes through the pan just barely, so it has to be welded to seal a small hole.

The *other* option is to use an M6x1.00 bolt that is like this and see if it fits:

A2 clears the pan just fine, the A2 pump just needs to be ground down to fit the Z3 block.
