    Protech auto Civic EK k24 785whp 550trq

I know the owner doesn't browse this site, but hes a good friend and ive put a lot of time with him on this car, so i'll post up his car anyways. Everything on this car was done in house. Welding, intercooler, piping, motor assembly etc.

    1996 Honda civic EK
    Custom cream white, shaved bay

    Fully built motor
    K24/k20
    Sleeved block
87mm cp pistons with upgrade wrist pins
Manley turbo tuff rods with upgrade 625 bolts.
    Custom TPR arp main studs
    GE headstuds
    Ferrea pro valvetrain
    Proyonto stage 2 cams
    ERL modified s2000 pump
    CC twin disc
    DSS axles
    stock tranny... for now :P

    Turbo set up

    Fullrace divided t4 manifold
Precision BB 6766 1.15 t4 exaust (being upgraded soon)
    dual tial 44 mm wastegates
    AFI intake manifold
    massive TB
    custom intercooler
    Tial BOV
    Ktuned pro fuel rail
    id2000
walbroh 400 pump (haha didnt run out)

So we took out the "baby motor" aka stock sleeve k24 two weeks ago. He managed 610whp@21psi and pulled a 10.80@132,8mph @17psi hitting rpm limiter at 7500 rpm.

Thanks to BT performance in Matane quebec for letting us use their dyno equipment, we managed a low 785whp and 550trq @31-33psi. We had MAJOR spinning issues in the 700+ range and couldnt crack that 800whp mark.

    Balanced pistons

Unfortunatly we dynoed 785 on kpro. This is going in this winter to use some of the "fancy" features

within the next couple weeks a cage is going in it and if hits over 150mph, well parachute set up is next.

His goal is low 10s, i set his goal for a 9 second pass once his equipement is set up to put the power to the ground

This is amazing. And on a stock tranny! Thats great. Nice to see that it's a built frankenstein setup. 750whp is awesome! Definitely a 9 second setup if it catches traction. Keep us updated!

    GoPro pictures look awesome btw!

Side note: What AEM gauge is that in the dash for his wideband? The white numbers are so clear I love it

    Thanks!

ya traction is going to be the issue, but theres some ecu components the guys in SFWD use to put down the power that we have for the car. Its just matter dialing it in. Id LOVE see a 9. No one has done it here, no one has upper 700whp right now.

The gauge is an AEM failsafe. Its pretty wicked. Plug it into the laptop, you can switch between AFR, and boost. It can flash red real fast after a set AFR if it goes lean. I dont know why hes using it since the dash has everything listed in your face.

i dont expect the tranny to last 1 pull down the track. Once power shifts it from 3-4 and it doesnt drop out of boost, its going destroy something. I'm almost positive once that happens, a dogbox will be in the works for next year

So sick man. I can't wait to see it run at the track. I would love to see the trans last at least one pass.
