    I was on 235/45/17 Hankooks while lowered with barely a 2-finger gap, & I never rubbed. My camber was also zeroed out.

    would you all prefer 40's or 45's? I thought higher the side wall the more grip you would get.

    Somewhat. But not in all cases. Tie compound has a play in that as well

    so a softer compound like BFG Radials stick with a 40

    Yea. A 40 series drag radial would yield more grip then a 45 series Street radial or all season tire.

    Okay good info... im getting ready to put 225/50/17 on just cause they are free99 complements of honda hope they dont look too monsterous.

    I hope they fit.... If you are lowered at all, I imagine you will rub a LOT.

    ya i am but i have no problem raising the car up these are just gonna be a temp till i can afford a good set of rims and tires. but the cars going away for winter here in a couple of months any ways.
