Little update: installed Vit's soon to be released boost control solenoid booster and the car is pulling like a monster. My gauge is showing 20-21 psi in 4th and it feels incredible. Next step is E85 and more track time.

Ya, just gotta go find some, no stations close by probaby need to drive approximately 30 miles to get some.
After close inspection, everything in the trans seems to be just fine other than 4th gear of course. While it's out in addition to replacing 2nd gear, I will be replacing the bearings on both ends of the shafts since I had to remove 2 of them to clean the clutch case anyway. Mind as well replace those since they really have to deal with a lot of forces keeping the shafts together.
dang sucks manne, i couldnt handle a tranny breakdown my self, why never tried a 5 speed

Not a fan of the ratios and just with the way things worked out I ended up with an extra 6 speed transmission so I have replacement gears. This actually isn't all that expensive of a repair for me minus me wanting a brand new 2nd gear since it's finally off back order.
i hear ya
