    mercracing aftercooler should be here next week.. what coolant you guys using it will worth getting water wetter or waterless coolant just for cooler?

    I use regular coolant with a water wetter additive for good measure. It gets cold here in the north east so i dont want to worry about my aftercooler freezing and popping tubes while it sits for the winter.

    Depends on where you live and if you care to change it if you live where it gets cold. Water with Water Wetter can be run. If using coolant, 70% water/30% coolant is the most efficient mixture and will protect you in cold months. Also add a 1/2 bottle of Water Wetter.

    finally got aftercooler from mercracing 3 months..

    didnt get my t1 sensor i ordered so im having to use stock manifold sensor location.. and using genuine honda sensor like bellow.. but gonna cut it and expose slight resistor for faster response..

    i have space under the cooler for sensor but i think this will be a better location.. don't fancy making a hole in the runners

    JRSC 3.0 pulley with dc5r crank will see around 10psi / with mercracing aftercooler

    The dc5r crank pulley is 5.4in diameter right? I'll be running a similar setup on my new k20a but i am swapping to a larger k20a2 5.8in diameter crank pulley with a 3in boost pulley. Im looking for 11-12 psi @ 8800-9000rpm redline at 17000-17300rpm on the blower at redline. How high are you revving your jdm k20a?

    what version of the k20 do you guys have?

    mine is completely stock inside its jdm k20a with 11.5:1 compression 220hp stock crank is 5.115" redlines to 8500 Stock. ive upped my redline to 8800 as not making any power above that..

    We get the k20a2/ k20z1/k20z3 here... but i am picking up a jdm k20a complete swap- identical motor as you have. I am looking to set the redline to 8800-9000 depending where it stops making power. After calculating the blower rpm at redline- i figure at max, 9000rpm redline, with a 3in blower pulley I'll be right at 17300rpm at the blower- which is about 3-400 rpm below what the blower porter recommends as max safe working rpm. Im not taking any chances this time around after the blower blew up the first time lol
