Rules and Guidelines
*Rules & Guidelines*
- Informational and DIY articles MUST be your own work. No plagiarism allowed. If you are posting an article originally posted by someone else, make sure to give them full credit where it is due. Articles that are not of your own work will not be counted towards your total count for the contest, but will still be beneficial to other members of the community. After all, that's what this is all about.
- Please make sure to spell-check your article(s) before they are sent in. We aren't all English majors. Spell-check in Microsoft Word can be a life saver!
- First submitted, first accepted. If two or more people post an informative/DIY article on the same topic/application (I.E. Shifter cable replacement on 06-11 Civic Si), the best of the submitted articles will be accepted. This will be voted by staff. If they are voted to be the equally beneficial, then the first one submitted will be accepted.
- Follow the 5WH Rule - Who/What/When/Where/Why/How.
Who - Who makes the product?
What - What is the product? What is the repair or modification?
When - When do I need it? What's the best interval?
Where - Where can I get it and where do I use it?
Why - Why does this apply to me? What problem does this solve?
How - How can I go about this?
- Each submitted article will be fully reviewed before it is accepted and published.
- Please keep pictures no longer than 1024 pixels for any side.
- For pictures that aren't the best, or can be easily confused, feel free to put a LARGE CIRCLE around or an ARROW pointing to the object(s) to be focused on. Pointing out which bolts to remove can make things much easier.
- This is only applicable on articles posted from October 1, 2012 through October 31, 2012.
- Copyright law: If you are the original writer, copyright belongs to you as soon as you finish writing your article. The only exceptions are; 1) if you are paid ahead of time to write it, or 2) you explicitly choose to sell, assign or otherwise transfer the copyright to someone else. When you post your article(s) to BoostedK20.com, this has no impact on your copyright. You're just granting us a license to display your copyrighted work. That license is non-exclusive (you can post it elsewhere) and irrevocable (we can display it forever).
- By submitting your article, you agree to allow us to put a 'BoostedK20.com' logo posted somewhere in the picture to route people back to our community if a picture is found elsewhere online (i.e. Google image search).
