Got my flywheel resurfaced they had to take 28thousands off! Thanks for ruining my flywheel Spec clutches

Got My competition stage 5 clutch in and it feels like a real clutch! My clutch pedal actually feels like there is something there again. Huge difference in my drive home this time. No slipping at all.

I bet Spec sent me a stage 1 clutch

Did you have your flywheel resurfaced when you put the spec in?

Yes, they took off 2thousands the first time. Not as many hot spots that time.

The guy at the machine shop said what did you do to this flywheel lol he said it looks like it has 150000 miles on it.

He didn't even want to turn it because it looked so bad.

Damn man. That's crazy. I'd be giving those findings to spec for sure.

And to put thing in prospective for people on the term thousandths. Your typical piece of paper is .003" so 3 thousandths. So take ~8 pieces of paper and that's how much was taken off the flywheel. That's ridiculous the clutch did that much damage.

This is such a cruddy situation. Make sure to post this in the Business Review's section, definitely important.

I definitely will post my experience in the business review. I understand that occasionally a bad part is going to slip though (no pun intended) ha! Get it ? Slip

Anyways, but good companies will make it right. We will see how spec handles this.

I'm 260 miles into my break in period of the recommended 300mile break in on ye competition clutch. It is still a beast hasn't slipped not once. I haven't been over 4500rpm yet but if you will recall the spec clutch slipped at 4krpm. Not this one

I'm going to do a 400mile break in instead of the 300 just because I can lol

Spec clutches refunded my money. Bad or wrong pressure plate is all I was told.

Doesn't matter to me! I'm just glad I got my money back lol

The competition twin disc clutch I ordered from corsportusa.com has to be shipped from competition clutch and will take 2 weeks
