Stretched and Swapped Ruckus - Custom Fabbed

    Super late update (12/5/15)
Ruck has been done for quite some time now. I unveiled the scoot at the Boosted Life 2013 event in the summer, albeit unfinished. I worked on the bike more and went to Honda Day in Englishtown, NY with both my Si and Ruckus. Both won 1st place, which was a humbling feeling - especially since both were ~90% finished! Threw temp black paint on the bike, which was not the color I was planning on using. Did the trick though. On to the pics:

    From Boosted Life event:

Well, I've been building this Ruckus for about two months now. She should be done in 4 weeks from now. I work on her once a week with RND RACING. It's a great process, however very time consuming. Hard work pays off, and I'm sure that this will.

    Current teasers (6/13/13):

    UPDATE: 5/5/13

So, obviously the jump from a modded 1000cc R1 to a 50cc Ruckus is as big of a jump as it sounds. But the Ruckus is so damn fun to ride that the tremendous power sacrifice is worth it. It's the modding and riding experience that gets you. With that said, I found a need for more power. Topping out at 42mph prevents me from going on highways and parkways, which is a pain because you can't cruise with anyone but a 50cc Ruckus. So I figured boost is the "dark side" of the k-series world. And a motor swap is the "dark side" of the Ruckus world. So...

I'm doing a GY6 150cc motor swap to replace the 50cc. I'll make sure to keep you all updated throughout this process, my goal is to be finished by the end of June!

This is my 2012 Honda Ruckus NPS50. Purchased brand new from the dealership.

It's fun to drive, gets 120+mpg, and tops out at 42mph - for now. I plan on doing some minor mods, nothing crazy like a motor swap. Mainly using this to keep miles off my Si.

    Mod List
    1. GY6 Radiator Scoop Not Installed
    2. Smoked LED R6 Taillight with Integrated Turn Signals Not Installed
    3. Custom 125cc Pocket Bike Exhaust Removed for Engine Break-in
    4. R1 Frame Slider Foot Pegs (FSFP)

    R1 FSFP Sleeper Style

    Exhaust First time around

Venom variator, loving it so far. I also drilled 4 holes in my CVT cover, because at 120 miles I had more dust than I wanted to have. Should help keep temperature down a bit, and keep some dust out.

I painted and installed my GY6 scoop, slightly melted it when I decided to put it in the toaster on low heat. Oh well, doesn't look bad.

    DIY Headlight Mods

    More to come soon!
