The shop put 7's in the car but I doubt that had the least bit of factor in it. But regardless it's a high boost car that never ran 7's.

My guess at this point is a new crank and new pistons. New rod and main bearings, basically here comes a new Motor build...

Its built you'd just have to get some new slugs as it has 13.7:1 wiseco's in it right now.

When will you know what needs to be done for sure? Keep your head up, I know it sucks but worse things could happen. It's well worth the struggle.

Thanks for the offer man. This block I have is already got money dumped in and I'm glad I only bored .5mm over so there's still meat on the sleeves for a bigger bore now. I believe I'm going to go with an 88mm bore now. But I should get a good idea this weekend. I'll take and upload pics and my thoughts on the severity of it all.

Yea man I'm glad I took it where I did when I hear the issue. My cousin had some great tools and is a great mechanic as well. So he had some good thoughts and all to help decipher what's going on.

How are things looking?

Motors coming out this weekend. And being pulled down to do a rebuild. Piston #1 has a couple fried rings I'm sure. Took a couple rod ends off and the bearings were still in the right position. They looked a bit scored to me though. What's your opinions???



Plug #1 heat range 7 plug. (not a damn clue why they were put in.) oil is baked on the ceramic part of the plug. Breakkleen and a wire brush didn't do and good.
