AEM UEGO Replacement Sensor (Screw You AEM Im Not Paying What You Want)

just thought i would post here also for those of you with a aem wideband gauge you do not need to buy a aem "branded" wideband sensor and get taking for more money than it is worth...

recently my aem sensor failed and after looking at the prices online i wasnt gonna drop that amount on a new sensor since mine failed within 9 months of having it new. so after looking at the old sensor i noticed it was a bosch sensor. n knowing how aem runs their business they pry just use a oem sensor bosch already makes and rebrands it as theirs and ups the price will screw that aem i found a way around that...

since i work at a local autoparts store i found a bosch sensor that will work for us without cutting and hacking apart the wires yes that is right its a direct plug in and go swap

anyways the part number for the sensor that will work is

bosch number - 17018 and for a walkin customer at oreilly autoparts it would be only 62 bucks alot cheaper than any aem replacement i found

(if this is in the wrong section please feel free to move this mods)

hopefully this will save some ppl money!

Mine has been off by like 1.5 - 2 points since I boosted. Ive never hooked kpro up and ran it with a pull. When I hit boost my AEM gauge goes to 10.0 and stays there. So I assume it goes lower. But since its off by those 2 points, would I be really be at 12.0ish?

Well kpro does read your a/f from your primary O2 sensor. But I'm not too sure how accurate mine is either. I don't have an aem wideband But if it hits a 10:1 I wouldn't just assume it's at a 12:1 I'd have to check that out and make sure.

You need to have an accurate primary o2 if you're getting tuned
