    Boost gauge..... need help

So I dont know why but I bought an AEM tru Boost gauge. I know now that I should have just bought a straight boost gauge, but friends (non Honda) encouraged me to get the tru boost. Anyways, its not working because were not sure what wire in the ECU to splice into. It keeps blinking an error S code, which is a short or not connected.
The boost solenoid is all hooked up, I just need to know what wire to splice into the Kpro ECU.

Please help a guy out, lol

I'm not sure which you're looking for, but I know they have a write up in the K-Pro manager (like a how-to). Search it and you'll find it. Then post a DIY for others

Im getting an Error 5 msg on my boost gauge. Error 5 means solinoid short or not hooked up. But it is. DO you have to splice into the Kpro ECU?

i dont see why you'd have to. unless you want to see the map reading on the AEM then that would be all you would have to tap into, just to see boost numbers. the way i see it, you just have to wire the solenoid up to the tru boost and not use kpro to modulate it.

Does tru boost have it's own boost control solenoid? Or does it use the hondata solenoid? Could you please post a wiring diagram of what came in the kit. I'm sure I could help you out if I had that to look at.

Tru-Boost has it's own boost solenoid, so you can use that as your EBC. No need for Hondata EBC then. As for tying it in, IIRC you need to so KPro can use it as the boost control. You need to get the correct pins from Hondata and plug into your ECU harness (For 06-11 Si's anyway). I assume it's the same for you.

Could you perhaps ditch the tru boost solenoid and use the hondata one and keep the gauge as just a gauge?

Yes, absolutely. I would sell it and get the regular boost gauge, you'll make money back.
