Something on the car is broken... I was cruising along in 4th gear around 45 mph do around 3500 rpm or so and giving it a little gas and noticing, really marveling at how quickly it gets to 0 vac now with this booster. Then all of a sudden I hear this clicking noise, almost like a rod knock or something. At first I think it's my intake possibly rubbing on my trans so I immediately take it out of gear and just coast into the closest neighborhood, it's clicking the whole time and the clicking seems to be dependent on speed. I pop my hood to mess with the intake and was able to determine that certainly isn't it. When stopped the clicking is gone and reving while sittig still it doesn't click at all, but as soon as I start to take off in 1st it will click and increase with my speed. This makes me think it is not engine related but something in the drive line. It goes into each gear while sitting still, I didn't drive it anymore so I only had it in 4th gear (right when I first heard the sound) and in 1st gear driving through this neighborhood, but it does go into gear just fine while sitting still, and before when I broke second gear you could feel something wasn't right if you tried to go into second gear engine running or not, where now it goes in fine and doesn't grind. Also while driving through the neighborhood I took it out of gear whole coasting and put it into neutral hen clutches in again in an effort to stop the trans from spinning, but the clicking seemed to be entirely dependent on speed. This makes me think it may be an axle? But I have a shitty feeling it's something in the trans. At least I have State Farm and got it towed home for free and I'm off tomorrow so I can mess with it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Doubt its axle related, gl doh
