I was always worried about hydrolocking when I was NA, then I cut my Injen CAI and installed an AEM bypass. Made a huge thing on another forum bc no one notably did it to an 8th at that point. Now I'm boosted and never worried!

On my c5 though, I just got the vararam br2 intake. Direct ram air from both lower front sides of the bumper. Proven to net 30-40whp throughout the entire powerband (around 30 untuned, 40 tuned). I worry about hydrolocking with that, but everyone says they're fine.

Basically because you would have to submerge the entire front end to hydro lock it. As long as one of the ram air ducts is getting air instead of water then all you will pull in is air.

I know, it makes sense but its just some paranoia. I'm sure the filter will get a bit wet but i'm not worried

But when you make as much power as a jet fighter you don't want light ass rpf1's you want heavy ass battles

I found this out when my boy wanted to try my rpf1's on his his 600+whp turbo car just to see how he liked the fitment and setup. He took off his 35lb 3 piece volks with all seasons and went to rpf1's on summer tires and the car wouldn't hook up as well on pulls
