    Is welding hard to pick up? ive always wanted to try it. It crazy how far you could go with a build if you know how to weld

    Good welding, yes. Welding to save a bay, no. It takes a lot of practice and trial and error.

    oh ok, well like i meant fabbing up brackets and misc. stuff that you really cant buy? maybe some tubing? like would the average mig do that fine and look ok? or is tig just the way to go for everything?

    Brackets are fairly easy to weld especially if you have some spare metal you can practice on to figure out the heat/wire speed before starting. Same for tubing. My welder is nothing special and it can handle that. Welded up the exhaust on my truck a few weeks ago.

    This right here is a pita. Ive warped huge angle iron with too much heat. Its pretty crazy.

    Yea it's easy to mess up what you're working on with too much heat. I always start low on a practice piece and work my way up until I can get a nice consistent weld going.

    cage and a gforce lol? that's a huge step up from just the gear x haha.
