The lockout locks you out of 5,6,R to prevent mis shifting and the billet stops keep you from stretching your shifter cables.

the stops are a must IMO, the lock out only locks you out of 5,6 and R when you put it there, otherwise its like a normal shifter. its not forever locked out

you literally move the lever and bam its either engaged or disengaged. for track or street. its nifty!
