What size does the barb need to be? I found one that's 10mm barb but the company is in Australia. Very odd size.

The 1.25 thread pitch is killing you. Plus most barb fittings are going to be NPT anyways. You could however stack components

Metric to AN then AN to barb

well i didnt have any luck finding the 1.5 pitch anywhere, i spent 3hrs in the streets going store from store till i ran to oreillys by my house and they only had the 1.25 pitch in m14
