Anyone know if this is a good idea? I found a few unlocked flashpros with the pictures of the program with no vin in it..will they work just the same or should I just get a new one and not deal with it?

You can run used just as long as it unlocked.
Unlocked is fine. Locked is where there is an issue. You're good to go
