whats up?
Theres quite a few boosted set ups, im wondering what everyone is running for a clutch and how long have they lasted. Main reason, i need to upgrade mine this winter and twin disc isnt very friendly as a daily driver (or having to replace the discs every year)

competition stage 4 clutch for this guy with the ultra light CC flywheel. On my 3rd season and 4th engine with it lol
I run a comp twin but really miss the driveabilty of the stage 4 cc I have owned 2 comp clutch stage 4 s and its near stock feeling to me and holds decent power . I just dont think it would have held up with my current / now old set up :turbohug:but for 450 hp it should work fine unless you track it a lot I'd go with the stage 4 comp clutch
stage 4 seems to be a favorite around the k world for under 450. Youd think they'd offer another clutch that could hold more torque. Big price jump from 400 stage 4 to 1200 twin. My plan is to keep 450 daily, but with meth and dyno session this year, it'll be over 500 for the track.
I ran clutchmasters FX400 kit (stage 4) and it held 600HP amazingly greaaaatt! I also sold lots of competition 1620 stage 4 kits to boosted customers and they too have no complaints.

I have a used one. I had 9k miles on it. So I'd prolly buy a new disc but I'd sell it dumb cheap.

After talking to charm city tuning, they have suggested i wait and buy a CC super single clutch/flywheel. Not as harsh as a twin disc, but will hold better then a stage 4.
Thats the thing, id be down and buy a twin, but for daily driver, id have to buy new discs every winter. Bad enough i have to buy a set of tires every year ;)

I'm really curious to try out the super single. What's it rated for?
600 trq, way more then enough. its just crazy theres no real "in between" clutch. The cc stage is rated at 350 trq, then super single is 600trq.
Who do you know from CCT?
ive been talking back and forth with Mike on k20a.org. Ive also talked to TPR racing, so far CCT gives the better prices shipped on anything
Super single is rated for 600tq? I didn't no it's that high. I may have to try that out instead of my twin disk
Clutch Masters FX400 works great!!! Just got my dc5 boosted about 3 months ago and handles great!!!
^ A lot of people are running the clutch masters series. I'm still on my stock clutch, probably switching over to a CC stage 4. My car is also daily driven
dc52003, what is the FX400 rated to? What's difference between the fx300 and 400?
i will be buying the CC stage 4 and my dealer/tech guy told me it will just fine he has it on his 600hp shop car and a few others run it.
I ran it and loved it. One thing I dong like is it doesn't have much material to begin with so the lifespan wasn't very long. But I changed mine out because it slipped off the line when launching on slicks.
I just installed a CC stage 4 in my car, hopefully it'll hold for a good while. ^ This review makes me sad/worried though.

7k launches. Lol. Car dead hooked 1st gear. Buy slipped because of it. Granted my car was daily driven/raped/tracked for 10k miles. I guess it's not horrible life for a performance clutch. Just expected more. But now I'm gonna absolutely hate traffic. Lol
