Just wondering what people do. I keep my car in the garage at night every night. My garage has an alarm and my car alarm (Clifford) is always armed. Anyone keep their car in the street? If so, what's your protection against thieves?

This is actually a great topic. My car when first boosted sat on the street. Then after I kicked ass in some street races I started noticing ppl driving by and slow late at night. So I started parking it in my front yard right by my bedroom window. My room is on the first floor so I'm eye level with it. And I only have a factory alarm. Buy I'm getting a new one soon. I was also thinking about getting lojack.

Definitely a great topic. As for me, I have a Viper 5901 alarm with tilt sensor, glass sensor, and shock sensor. Has worked well thus far, I love it <3
This is a method VERY VERRY common @ ATCO raceway. http://tapa.tk/mu/4422029a-b86d-a372.jpg

The guy who did my alarm is 13-0 against thieves, meaning 13 times thieves have tryed to steal a car he did an alarm on(all hondas) and have yet to be able to take it. I also sleep with my ecu ;)
My old gsr i had 2 boots on it and a clutch lock, with a kill switch and a alarm with all the sensors, i use to be more paranoid about that.
:yeahthat: That's my one reason for hating having a Honda. :sadwavey:
w/ aftermarket alarms can u still lock ur doors with the buttons on ur key or do u have to use the lil box thingy?
Typically you can, however it may set off your other alarm as it 'takes over' your OEM alarm. It's easy though, takes a few days to get used to. What other alarms are people using?
Nothing, and sometimes the doors are unlocked :P Seriously (at home anyways) There isnt a lot of theft on our parts, and if it got stolen, i have a nice appraisal.
I'll get an alarm soon if i still have the car by spring
Wow. If I left my car unlocked I would be so paranoid that it would be stolen that I couldn't sleep O_O
Mines a garage queen.
is it true that you can't hook up a kill switch on the k-pros?
By the basics of electronics, this would be false AFAIK. All you need is an inline switch for your ECU's power source and boom: connection is open and not closed, thus being an effective kill switch. However, an ignition cut switch would likely work better. Especially when hidden.
kill switch, alarm and a glock.
