Thanks my dude :thumb:
Update: 3/28/12
So while I had the car in my hands (not running still) I took the opportunity to clean things up in the bay and install my HR shift cables/selector springs, and kTuned shifter.

I also used heavy duty zip-ties to hold the cables together all the way to each bracket. It's a little secret I learned from an old school Honda enthusiast. For cable shifter cars its a great idea to do this. It prevents the shift cables from spreading apart when you are trying to power/speed shift. Also lessening the chance of you breaking a cable. I used a zip-tie about every inch apart. Then I heat reflector taped over it all. (not a fan of showing zip-ties in my bay)

Even without a trans hooked up to it all you can just tell this things gonna shift like a boss.

Gotta love a smooth shifting tranny! How did those cables connect/disconnect? One of my cables is fucked and I can't get into reverse. I'm probably going to need a new cable, but I'l a bit worried on how difficult that would be to swap. And the shirts are nice, post them in the GRFXP thread to spark some more interest for them to make some boosted shirts!
Damn dude. In my car the cables werent hard to replace. Just taking heat shields down and such. But I'm not sure how the 06+ civic's come undone. I know the clips at the trans are the same so they just pry up and off. if I had to replace a cable due to breaking I'd definitely think about upgrading to the HR cables
Yea I'm hoping this is an easy fix. I would get the HR cables, but $350 is quite a bit of dough and I'm not looking to spend that. I can get OEM honda cables at a discount, so I'm hoping that works out well. Lasted me 50k, and I'm pretty sure this only stretched because of the clutch change. My friend was a bit rough when removing the cable. No biggie though.
So I'm beginning to become discouraged about my car an project. My motor has been assembled for a month now and I've had ALL the parts for some time now. But the shop is "falling behind" and doesn't have time yet to schedule my car in. I love the guys at the shop and don't want to hinder a friendship there but it's getting ridiculous now. My car has been there since august this time around.
I know the feeling. IMHO, business is business, friendship is friendship. People mistake kindness for weakness, and that is unacceptable. It's well worth the wait, that feeling when you finally drive your car again is unlike any other feeling - especially for us gear heads. I was in an accident 14 weeks ago, broke my neck and my left leg. Had surgery, was in a neck brace for 13 weeks, and finally started driving a week ago. It's all I've been dreaming about, and an absolutely amazing feeling that was worth the wait. Now I know our situations are different and you've been waiting much longer than I have, but the moral is the same. Hope this helps.
I can't wait to get back to boosting myself :(
