Congrats on the award Adam. Your hard work paid off.
:yeahthat: The engine bay came out INSANE!
Straight awesomeness!!!!! Engine bay is dumb clean.
Still can't get over this bay. Literally makes me hate my engine bay. Damnit.
awesome engine bay
thanks guys! got my meth kit installed finally, and got a hold of Joseph from Magnesium tuning to redo it :) numbers and videos in couple weeks

Whats the best way to mix these? weight wise?
Half installed

What controller are you using....I always buy my meth premixed. 10 cases at a time
Just get an empty washer bottle and measure it. I do 4 inches of meth and 4 inches of water.
so you're measuring yours by volume versus weight.
Im using kpro as the controller. The nitrous controls
well its been a good couple weeks of tuning. I got the meth kit installed and started to tune with it. Until i noticed some slight smoking..
took the turbo apart today
voila

:FUU:
Now i have to deal with seeing about a rebuild, or just a new journal bearing turbo.. either way, looks like the car will be out of commision for the summer:thumbdown:
Damn, why the whole summer? I'm sure you can find a new chra somewhere for a good price
we'll see what happens. im still driving it and tuning it. still works like it did and doesnt smoke all the time. Precision says 4-500 to replace the seal, unless the whole catridge is shot, then its 1439us. haha
I dont know if theres any wiring gurus on here, but my battery voltage in kpro fluctuates a lot.. between 13-14.4 all the time. up and down up and down.
now i checked the battery, fuse box terminals, and all 4 wires comming out of the altenator plug, they all read 14+ constant. I even tested the connector going into the ecu, and the alt wire (b10) reads 14.25. So why does kpro fluctuate so much?
so after some work on the car, i mightve found my problem with the retarded amoutn of boost creep. previously with the 10-11psi spring int he gate, after 7200 rpm it would instantly creep to 23 (boost cut). This is with the EBC hooked up properly and being used to control the creep i had (previous year).
so i had a Tial 38mvs gate lined up, and was going to get it welded on.
well, i changed my push lock fitting on the gate and on the turbo housing. Hooked up a line direct, bypassing the EBC. To my relief, i hit 19psi by 8600 rpm. :)
Im happy now. Can finally get it tuned up and thrown on the dyno, more importantly get some track times.
Oh and for the Kpro voltage fluctuation, i fixed that. The oem wideband sensor was sharing its power from the relay with the power of the ecu. The swap harness had it wired up wrong. I'd disconnect the O2 relay, voila, 14-14.5 volts constant. :)
Also purchased a set of neogen tires. Cheap and supposibly half decent :)
So this means your keeping it now Adam?
not necessarily. Its still up for sale, but ill enjoy it and keep going with it until it sells. :P
Lies.
well good new and bad news.
Good news first: Boost creep was minimized. I replaced all my pushlocks with a higher grade, same with the line and voila. was hitting 16 psi and it was falling to 12.8 by 7000rpm (boost controller dropped the boost). So i was pretty excited.
Bad news: Took one last drive tonight to see if it hold up in 4th. Held 15lbs to 8600rpm... then cruised along, pulled off the highway to go home and it was running on 3 cylinders. Air fuel in boost was holding 11.9-12.1 ( aem wideband) so either the injector quit working or the sensor is bad. There's Lots and lots of smoke pouring out of my catchcan and dipstick. Vitals on Kpro showed perfect. 190 degree temperature, -21.5 vacuum at idle, 13.9afr at idle. So what gives? Number 2 spark plug is missing the electrode, so it got pretty hot. My guess, metled a hole in the piston or valve.
Oh well. Ill take the head off next week sometime and post some pictures. :P
well i guess i havent updated this in a long time. haha
Motor melted a piston/scuffed up the cylinder wall. I had the machine shop bore/hone/deck/clean another 2.0 to 87mm. This time around i assembled the motor to my specs and enjoyed it. It really wasnt that hard to do, but i had to source out a few specialty tools.

Finally had it all back in. I did all this in my driveway, what a pain in the ass.

I then bought an 08 ridgeline to haul the teg to the track for 2013. Love this vehicle

After that i did nothing but drived the car for the rest of the year. No new dyno, no track times. Last gas stop before storage.
New CF lip

Now whats on the go for this winter? Nothing really. We're buying a house with garage so im focusing on that. Spring time comes, im going to put new clevite bearings in, GE headstuds from TD autowerks, all new rings re gapped and taking it to BT Performance for a tune. Goal is 600whp on meth stock sleeves.
Picked up a few small things this winter.
dual pod cluster. I was tired of having the AEM wideband on the steering column. Also picked up an electronic oil pressure gauge

GF got me this through AFH for Vday. OEM type r key. My guess is she wants the other key :P
http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphoto...37448412_n.jpg
Ordered another 44mm mvr gate along with acl race bearings. Im not dealing with creep this summer.
well we took a trip to Quebec for a dyno day at BT Performance on Saturday. Spent the night there and Sunday they snuck my car on the dyno for a few hours to get it tuned up a little.

Next step is race weekend in two weeks. THEN hopefully back up to them for a c16 and 25psi tune
oh and i drove it there, 550km. 15 dyno pulls, 30 km driving around town, and 550km back home :P
Sounds like she's running healthy. True Street car here. That's what I Like to see. Drive to the track switch the tires and run 10's then drive home. #likeaboss
s4 petefromthestreets
ouf 10s... pushing it there :P i'll hope for low 11s first ;) see what gives out, axles or tranny haha :)
The tuner had a knock sensor set up bolted to the motor with head phones. He listens for knocks and pings. He said same thing, motor sounds real healthy with no noises.
It definetly scared the crap out of me when i was l passing a car on the way home in 4th. I cant imagine cars with 600+
went to the track this weekend.
Started off shitty, but i havent raced in 3 years and on this set up. STarted off at 12.2@125mph, then the tuner came down and track tuned it more. I did 7 passes and went from 12.2@125mph to 11.3@131mph. Its definetly got 10sin it with some c16 and remove the interior. This was full weight integra

Damn NA cars are too loud!
11.3 pass

Nice!! I took a study break because I saw you updated your thread. And I'm glad I did. Congrats bud, definitely 10's in there. Any vids?
In terms of "getting the hang of it again" what did you really have to focus on, your launches? Your shifts? I know your tuner helped tune, so what tuning issues did you have?
weird i thought i had a video. The "damn na cars is loud" was for the video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozzl-...ZjyH3B1zSLtZwA
Ya need to get hang of the half track. my 1.9 60 foots arent great, they should be 1.7 at this track. Even second gear with the slicks i had some spinning happening which slowed down my 330.
It was a very hot day, over 100 degrees easy. When i got there, first two passes i was only hitting 15-16 psi, and my AFR was low 10s. So by the end my afr was mid 11s and we turned the boost up a few more to get it back at 18-19psi. After my 11.3 i started to get heat soak, my IAT were 130 and was too hot
Car is doing well man. A 7.1sec 1/8th mile is pretty Damn good man. And your mph is looking great as well. I saw your slip and even on your 1.9 60ft your making a decent recovery in the back half
s4 petefromthestreets
thanks! i cant wait for next round of racing. Hoping i can gain back my 1.7 60foot i did a few times and see if i can manage a 10 . My goal was 11.5 @ 128mph so i went past that:P
Told you. Lol. 10's man... coming soon.

So took a drive up with a buddy on sunday to BT for another tune on his integra. He went up once with a slipping clutch and this time made 440whp301@18psi pump gas....566 whp and 385 trq @27psi c16 on a 1.8 litre, sleeved 9.0cp, stock head stock cams, ebay intercooler. Boost controller was maxed out and we didnt have time to swap in a bigger spring or else we were going to 30psi. It was jumping almost 20hp per psi on c16. (6262 precision)

BUT
on the way up, this happened. We're lucky. I suffered some minor back muscle injuries and pain from the seat belt locking up.

Two moose decided to cross the road and 1 hit us. Just to say how tough these animals are, it eventually got back up and made its way into the woods. Firefighters couldnt find it when they went to look.
Big thanks to bt, especially for lending us their Type r for 2 days

We got two more trips up to BT this summer, so no more night driving for us!
Sick Teggy. And I'm sorry to hear about the accident. Those animals are crazy tough. Lol

Damn! Glad you're okay considering. That's all that matters. Oh, and that goldie's ok too. ;)
And that 1.8 makes some serious power! That's cool. C16 works well ey? No pun intended.
Ok, maybe a little mini pun.
What's the latest on the project?
