Looks fucking amazing! A fresh valve cover goes along way :)
Hahahaha.. Yeah I hear ya. Just slap the 92 on :p
You know you will miss the power and the instant boost response :p
Haha jk looks good bud
Looks good!! What's left now?
It's 6pm EST in MD. motors in. Waiting in 2 sensors and to button things up like header, exhaust, make an intake wire in wideband AGAIN! And add fluids.

Today was quite unsuccessful. Being a single parent, finding time to work on the racecar is near impossible. So I manage to get an hour here and there to work on it but then I'm back on duty. I can't complain though, He's the best little guy ever. But I do work on the car once he's asleep. Problem then is my mom is asleep so I have to be quiet. I don't know if any of you have tried to pull and replace a motor in near silence but you get very little accomplished.
Today was heater hoses. Since the tsx motor has the ports just a tad farther away then the rsx motor I had to get regular hose and route it myself. No big deal. But I used a couple pieces to help make the bends possible with a straight non pre-formed hose.
Here's how they came out.

Trying to make those bends would be impossible without these things.

While I was at the store I bought hair clips for the shifter cables as well.

Looks pretty good to me. Much better then fussing with cotter pins and personally looks better.
So that's all I've gotten to do so far this week.
So after my son went to sleep I went back to the garage to install my new wideband sensor and to rewire the gauge. All said and done the gauge stays at 14.8 after it cycles on. It's in position P0-P1. Even after the O2 heats up in open atmosphere it stays at 14.8 and stays there even when brakekleen soaked rag is on it. Connections are tight and the sensor is BRAND new. I'll do a continuity check later tonight between the ends to make sure all is good. But do you guys have any experience with this issue?
Don't forget your oil cooler, intercooler, and radiator
Those hose bending things are pricey per unit, but sure as hell make life easier! I have one on my oil return, very awesome things. And the hair clips were a great idea, I agree!
That is a bit weird, I'd contact AEM and see what they say. Did you replace the O2 sensor on it?
Hahaha. Yea I need those things at minimum as well lmao
The clips definitely make life easier. I hate using cotter pins.
And yup the sensor is brand spankin new. Im going to check conductivity between both ends of my cable and see if there's a broken wire or short.
I'm 98% sure the harness for my wideband is bad. Colors were mismatched when doing conductivity tests ect. So I'm ordering a new harness today/tonight. Getting plugs tomorrow or Saturday and finalizing everything else this weekend. Hopefully the harness can get shipped fast and we'll have a first start early next week.
My friend (who lurks and doesn't post on here yet!!!!) had a couple left over pressure plate bolts from the stock clutch so we used them to hold down his clutch slave cylinder. I thought it looked good enough that I asked for 2 so I could do mine. Lol. It's a simple sweet pleasure and keeps me going. Lol.

It was debated I even posted some stuff on k20a and have since decided to keep it , run it , raise hell with it .I have done to much come to far and have made way to many friends in the Honda world to get rid of it. Besides if you try to sell anything right now everyone low balls ya and thinks that shit should be given away f..k that I am gonna finish this lil monsta and have fun with it ! I actually had one guy go apply to borrow money to buy some of my stuff his loan hadn't gone thru yet and I called and told him it was no longer for sale he responded after he went thru all this ! lmfao thats a bunch of bullshit ha ! after all he went thru f..k that too I have gone thru much, much more and like I said have come way to far with this build to turn back now so some peeps better look the f..k out cause I'm comin trust me I'm comin ! the car will be better , stronger and faster than ever. I am good to people and tired of getting shat on I'm the guy you can call at 2 am and I'll come help ya out its a shame people get jealous and talk shit on me they dont know the real me as I aint one to f..k with

I appreciate that a lot mark. It means a lot man. And I'll take you up on that offer sometime man. It would be good to see you again and working in the car or a car is always fun to me. Almost second nature at this point. Haven't slept in forever lol. When the boy goes down I'm out to the garage. Haha.
Well my UEGO wiring harness came in today. great news is that fixe my wideband issue. So as soon as my plugs, and O2 bungs come in from kseriesparts.com
My nylon hose from summit, and my remaining push to connect air fittings come in from McMaster-carr... I'll be able to start the thing up.
Looked like Christmas today at work. Was receiving boxes left an right from UPS and FedEx.
Summit:
Kirkey seat cover for a badass seat
1/8" nylon hose for pressure regulator
1/4" nylon hose for BOV

http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/z...D449E0D86A.jpg
CRSX:
Vibrant O2 sensor bungs for aem wideband sensor
And plugs.
McMaster-Carr:
1/4" push-to-connect fitting
1/8" push-to-connect fitting

Should be able to start the car tonight. Just have to weld to O2 bung in and route the UEGO harness to the gauge.
Well I couldn't start the car only because the 2 air fittings I received today were too big. I ordered 1/4" NPT. I knew better but didn't check first so lesson learned.
But I managed to weld in the new O2 bung. And my friend put the cover on my seat. It's actually more comfortable then I thought. Thankfully. Lol

Once I hit that point I decided to wait until tomorrow to start it. I'll have more time to triple check things. And I just finished grinding the calipers to fit the 15" wheels for my slicks.

Nice wheel choice
I love McMaster-Carr. Bought the fittings yesterday at lunch when I realized the ones I had were too big and I have them in hand. Glad they ship fast.

Can't beat that :)

Car started to overheat on its first start up because the thermostat wasn't opening. So I took it out all together.
But the car was picking up quite a bit of knock doing a couple free revs. Not very high. Maybe 3500-4k rpm.
Yes n my knock went away
Adam is the cooling system bled out properly ? K series cooling systems are a pia especially if the system was completely empty .Did you jack the car up in the front as high as your jack will go ? Stick a funnel in the rad and allow it to run while monitoring the level in the funnel ? also helps if prior to beginning the process you pull the top hose and fill the block that with a temporary hose at the block fitting leaving the rad hose a little loose at the rad so you can turn it quickly and put it on the block fitting you spill a little coolant this way but it helps fill it .I had the same issues with overheating when I first did my swap and after ordering a new t stat for no reason and some searching I now have no issues bleeding out my cooling system anytime I have needed to .As far as the knock not really sure what to tell ya superchargers are noisy and will likely cause some knock don't most / a lot of tuners disable the knock sensor anyway especially on a s/c set up
What's up mark. I had the radiator cap off still for those exact reasons. To allow the system to bleed out. Problem was my radiator was ice cold. As we're both coolant hoses. So I pulled the T stat out and did like you mentioned by pouring coolant into the head and block directly. But the car runs at 150-170 now. Don't even need the fan on anymore. Lol
As for the knock. The supercharger is not installed. It's all motor as of now. But seems like some tuning has helped it some. Still need to do a valve lash just in case.
Cool Adam glad you got thell I didn't even realize you were all motor this time guess I need to pay a lil more attention is evrything ok with the car now or ya still have any issues left to take care of ?
nice man....
just wondering why not lower the comp to 9:1.
It's an internally stock motor so I didn't want to break it open just yet.
And superchargers react well to higher compression.
I've been tuning the car over the past few days but for some reason I can get the thing to idle down for shit. It idles about 1700-2k. It's freaking stupid and I can't quite figure out why.
But as I was tuning... a b16 hatch, a G35 6speed, and vette all wanted a shot at the rsx.
I raced the g35 first. Didn't have any issue pulling right off the jump.
Raced the hatch an that too I didn't have an issue with pulling.
The vette though, That posed a threat. 3rd gear roll on I jumped out about a car. Then he would cruise right on by. We ran it like 4 times. Same result every time. I didn't expect anything different being its an all stock k24a2 with bolt ons street tuned.
But when the blower goes on we are goin to run it back again.
