Thanks...
Awesome! Just because better safe than sorry, did you try shifting? Looks too close to your dash. A knob and your hand may not work that close for 1-3-5
Yes and on the pic the shifter is in the 1,3,5 position.
Still plenty room to the dash contact
Thats what you call different! awesome work man
Finally the day came, assembly of the shortblock.
Took a trip to Louisiana to my engine builders house and knocked it out.
Came back home happy that everything worked out and we didnt run into any issues whatsoever, Thanks Brandon.
I'll let the pics do the talking...

amazing progress man can wait to see it back on the streets
Looks great! I can't wait to get my short block back from the machine shop in a nice plastic bag like that. Those blue paper towels, are they special or just the regular shop towels you can buy pretty much anywhere? I just ask because I've always read you should use lint free towels, and I didn't know if those qualified as that or not.
aLmk those are some non residue paper towels. Good catchin up yesterday martin, glad everything went so smooth. Looking forward to seeing this thing back on the street at tx2k!
Thanks man, Ive been doing it for a while and have built a few k's that make over 700hp and quite a few b series that make about the same. Its not a business or about money, I just love doing it.
aLmk, they're nothing special really, if you go to your local parts store just tell them you need some non residue shop towels or paper towels and they'll give you what you need and they're cheap bro.
While the cylinder head makes its way back from machining and other, slapped on the accesories to make sure i aint loose nothing. Starting to look better, and also fitted the OEM headgasket. It clears the bigger bore!!

Na man sent it to PTE for inspection and mild upgrade...

Just got my cylinder head back from the machine shop, the guys did a hell of a job on it words cant descride it.
Special thanks to my tuner, hes been such a great supporter of the last minute changes and guidance to get this motor ready and waking up this monster from its deep sleep.
Head is still stock as fawk, all OEM parts on it, nothing fancy here.
