How many wheels does this guy have lol
If I never sold any of my wheel collection you'll be looking at 20-22 sets. During this year I have sold at least 13 sets to fund other things in life. Times are tough lols.
My work station for yesterday.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6293.jpg
Did some shaving and cutting. Long hours grinding and shaving away, intake manifold almost finished atleast.

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6288.jpg
Tensioner pulley mounting point cut off and shaved down nicely. Still a little more sanding to do.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6289.jpg
Cleaned up some surface on the water pump housing while I was at it.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6290.jpg
Waterpump housing finished and painted, still curing. Turned out exactly how I wanted it to be and was well worth the time and effort.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6298.jpg
Mocked up a few things such as the K-tuned swivel neck thermostat and the aircon and powersteering delete kit.

The weather was top notch today so I decided to wire brush and paint the alternator, starter motor and mid shaft.

Now the waiting game begins. Need a good few days before the paint is fully cured and is safe to handle.
Not car related but my fish are looking good!!

Water pump came out legit.
Rbc is gettting there
Water pump housing came out pretty good but I will need a new water pump though. Rbc is a lot of work, Probably wont ever attempt another shave and smoothed out for a nice curved surface.
I need to remove the factory pulley on the alternator and swap it over to the k-tuned extended one. Reason being is that the factory pulley doesn't align up with all the other pulleys after installing the AC/PS delete kit.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6342.jpg
I've decided to delete the heater as I have clearance issues with the Wastegate being in the way. So the Oem factory thermostat housing can go in the bin.

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6345.jpg
Test fitted the colour coded alternator and it is looking a lot better than before. I will need to change that water pump, it has seen better days once upon a time ago and doesn't spin smoothly anymore.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6347.jpg
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...8/IMG_6348.jpg
Removing the pulley on the alternator was quite hard but with a little bit of improvisation, it finally came off. You can also see how the pulley is extended so that it lines up with the crank pulley.

What is that thing on top of your starter? I don't recall seeing that on mine.
I had no idea K-Tuned makes an extended alternator pulley! Good stuff, the motor is coming together nicely. What water pump will you be going with? EWP like PetefromtheStreets would be cool
:word: perhaps the z3 starter is slightly different or I just have poor memory.
Been chasing these oil caps for a long time and by some kind of miracle! I came across a store in the US that had these discontinued oil caps. They had a few in stock so I bought them all.
They are the JG EdelBrock oil caps. 2 designs to choose from, Low comp design and high comp design.

SICK! Congrats on the pick up. I thought these were really cool too: http://boostedk20.com/eshop/?product...-junky-oil-cap Haven't seen these anywhere
What's better than 2 custom raychem mil-spec harness?
2!

They are made by Wire-Worx and the craftsmanship is superb. Highly recommend it to whoever is looking for an awesome custom engine harness.
Sorry for shitty s5 potato camera, lent my slr camera to my cousin.
A set of wheels arrive for my cousin. Maybe he will sell them to me one day? because I am really digging them. Enkei rc-s 16x8 +28.

Another look at that mil spec firewall plug.

I had a few of the boys over for a catch up bbq and took the advantage of the muscles to remove the motor from the engine stand. Maybe it's time to slap that gearbox on and pump up the bass.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...012_175748.jpg
Nice wheels! Liking the wiring setup too. Harnesses are so nice - to look at! Building, well, that's a different story!
Got the car back to a rolling status ready to tow from my parents house to mine.
I put in a temporarily steering rack as the other one is torn apart for a rebuild.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...104_193118.jpg
Waiting patiently for the tow truck to arrive.

That same morning my next door neighbors house caught on fire. A total of 4 firebrigrade, 2 police cars and an ambulance arrived on scene within minutes. Without the fast response time, the house would of burnt to the ground no doubt. It almost took out my daily car during the blaze. Sorry for the Poor images, had no good shots.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...103_095615.jpg
I tried sneaking in a shot from my backyard/driveway but it was hard without them seeing. This picture only illustrate 1/4 of the damage and the side had a rav4, 2 motorbikes and a bunch of tools and out door furniture.

This is the reason why I am so frustrated with the spray job. Can't wait for Paint Fresh Auto to redo the bay. If this little bubble patch rised up from the dead, how long until more rise from the dead?
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...104_193256.jpg
Had a rough night and morning so I went out to buy this guy. It's a Sailfin gibbicep and looks darn beautiful.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...103_221550.jpg
Sorry for the recent photo quality, s5 potato camera.
My S5 takes awesome pics :thumb: Crazy situations man, at least your cars were ok! Fires get really big, and very, very quickly. As for those paint bubbles... I'm livid for seeing that. Human error is inevitable, but come on... even the studs have overspray!!!
I'm sure all will be well in the end have faith - and keep us updated!
And nice pleco! They grow pretty big! Any other fish in the tank?
Tell me about the spray job! worst job. costed me close to $800 for that including towing which costed $230.
I bought some paint and primer ready. Probably give the bay a good rub back soon. Some places to bare metal.
The pleco is still quite small and is in my community tank along with a few other catfish. Bristlenose, albino long fin, corys, orange spotted bristlenose, tetras and rummynose.
The tank is 240 litres (63 gallons). I will leave the plecos in there until they get too large and then I will move them into hopefully a 150 gallon tank when i have spare coin.
Getting my custom harness soon from True Wire can't wait
Long time no update.
Again I have the same excuse, however I have made some progress.
Picked up paint for the bay awhile back. It will get sprayed within the fortnight.

Gave the car a good clean over the weekend, a nice wash and clay followed by a cut. I will polish and wax the car when it gets closer to 100%. The car also found a new home while the garage gets a reno.

For some reason today I felt like test fitting the rear diffuser. I bought this over a year ago and thought it will be a good idea to fit it to the car and free up some space in the house.

your DC2 makes me so unbelievably jealous. Wish I would have kept mine and done something more with it. So spot on man!
Sorry to hear of your neighbors house thats crazy!
Also nice pickup on the TopOne rear diffuser
Got my Jdm k20a flywheel machined.

Picked up a spare gearbox my cousin didn't need. It's a Dc5 5 speed box with a cusco 1.5 way lsd and a spoon 5.1FD. The gear ratios are similar to a 98 spec itr gearbox but taller 2-3-4. Ideally I would like slightly taller gearing but I will work with what I have :)

http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...225_151235.jpg
headed down to my local automotive store to pick up some supplies.
*Primer and paint for the gearbox
*wire brush and degreaser to prep the gearbox
*thread lock for the flywheel and pressure plate bolts.

Midway through wire brushing the gearbox.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...301_151116.jpg
After wire brushing, I used wax & degreaser to wipe the gearbox clean and free of contaminents. This is after 3 coats of engine enamel primer.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...301_151840.jpg
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...301_151855.jpg
And finally, 3 coats of aluminum engine enamel paint to match the engine.

About an hour in after the final coat, Melbourne weather took a turn. Thank god the paint has harden and dried but curing it will take another week. First thing I did when the weather changed was put a table over the top to protect it from the rain... which didn't happen luckily.

Here are some progress shots of the bay done by a friend.

A little slow the last week or 2 due to a bruised vein.

Put on the freshly machined Jdm k20a flywheel and the comp clutch stage 4 sprung. Mixed reviews with the clutch, too late to change now because i bought it 2 years ago lols.
Flywheel bolts torqued to 90 ft/lbs
Pressure plate bolts torqued to 20 ft/lbs
Also applied thread lock to the bolts.
http://i858.photobucket.com/albums/a...309_150053.jpg
My buddy Sang was kind enough to donate me a set of dc2r side skirts so that I can fit my Top1 side splitter. Straight forward with the drilling and also used a little thread lock on all the bolts for safe measures.
