Not that again... Do a search on youtube for Suja1 dyno tune rsx rotrex.
I think, on another tangent, my CNC valve may be giving out, or whatever it's called. When I decelerate I push clutch in and sometimes it takes a second to disengage.
Loving the sound of the boost and how people seem to freak out when I drive by them. Sometimes they hurry across the street when walking or jump when I shift and they are just walking on sidewalk. LOL Gotta have some entertainment out of the ordinary shits and giggles. lol

I guess the link got messed up when I cut and pasted as there was a period between the tu and be. ???

Re: 05 RSX Type S Rotrex Project
Sounds great man. And my cmc burst the triangle plate like most do. You can either run the em1 civic cmc or just get another factory one. Either of which will work fine.
Yea the setup turns heads that's for sure LOL. I get old head v8 guys attention all time. They mad. Lol

Re: 05 RSX Type S Rotrex Project
I ran up on this neon srt4 today. Car started to follow me then pulled next to me rolled his window down and then said in a Texas voice of authority, your car sounds damned nice, REAL DAMNED nice. Puts his cigar back in to his mouth and drives off. Totally threw me, I thought all SRT4 owners were pimply faced teenagers.

Hey, you guys, I can't understand why my car runs so hot. Took it to shop so Jason could look at it. Burped it, idled for long time and no problem, drive it normal and after awhile it gets hot. Really not understanding this. Do I need to remove thermostat? Drill some holes in it? What?

Re: 05 RSX Type S Rotrex Project
Car sounds great! These motors seem to have an issue with getting all the bubbles out. Adm_rsx is finding this out first hand. He should have some good advice for you

Man, if I don't go to jail and get car impounded first. My friend just got his Mitsubishi spider back from shop. After band rehearsal we went for a bite. It's late and it was four lanes in a 30. I saw him get some and I let it rip. loud as hell and spinning in three gears. As I pulled up to light I saw an unmarked SUV. I knew I was getting pulled over. Three cop cars later and others on the way, thought for sure I was going to jail. I kept it cool and somehow, (union card teacher?) I got off the drag racing ticket and about 10 other tickets and impound. My luck is wearing thin. Amazing at how car can go when I tell it to. Lol.

The coolant system sucks in these cars. Honestly my best advice is to get the ktuned upper coolant neck with the filler cap. It will allow that to be your fill spot as it is the highest point in the system. Getting most bubbles out won't be a problem.

Guilty as accused. I just got it back. Is it safe to power wash it? I have to detail the entire car. This weekend is dedicated to the task.

Please do share and a sticky should be made, after all, this is a site to share problems and solutions along with stories and...:-)

Without a doubt! That's something very valuable to everyone, and is likely going to take a little time to make. I look forward to that write up!

I'm worried the motor will move with the new power level, you guys ever had problem with the blower hitting the subframe? I should just not cheap out and get the front mount for reassurance since I have hasport 60a harness mounts.
I believe I saw your posts on k20a as well. I was suppoeed to get you a couple pictures and got sidetracked. I will deff do this for you today to see what kind of clearance I have. I have the innovative 70a or 80a front mount as well

Wait, who is carbon civic?
By the buy my RPF1's SBC coating came in today from Japan. Should be to my door before next Thursday! About tires? I'm thinking ill realistically go with the direzzas but the Toyos! 888's are calling my attention as well. I doubt the tires will last long. What do you guys suggest???

The dunlop star specs have worked very well for me, I would recommend them.

So this is it...I just overheated. Waited till car cooled down after a long walk to gas station. Came back with coolant and poured it in. Starts leaking. Hoses and radiator all good. I guess water pump and I think this is gonna be the money pit. FML in a good way. Hopefully the engine is ok. It still runs. I didn't run it too hot. As soon as light came on I caught it but WTF? So much pressure that it blew the water pump or a freeze plug? Hopefully nothing else.
-
wow for the light to come on it might of hit 220+ degrees, watch that temp man, i have been having high temps lately but the highest on my half size radiator is 204. Have u bled the system well and what your cooling combo consist of.
I just recently went from a 744cfm 12' fan to a mishimoto 933.5 12' fan. night and day diff

Well, the setup is pretty stout. All in fab radiator intercooler setup that bolts together. Two fans on it that sound like they could pull the car along if they had to. As far as the air bubble. It's possible but we ran the car for a long time with the funnel attached and it was fine. I am really a noob when it comes to boost. So I dunno.
-
Yea I'm betting something there is your issue. What do u have your fans set to?? What temp to come on at?
And let me guess is the fan shroud welded to the rad and the fans aren't removable either??

Blew the heater core hose off. Problem fixed on that end. Getting good flow to radiator so I ran till all bubbles came out. Does this setup run hot when driving normally or does it run at a normal temp?
-
That's what I want to know. It might run hot when put to the test.
-
05 RSX Type S Rotrex Project
I shouldn't judge. It happens, I guess. I was just really upset. Going to take it in and get it checked out and run it on dyno to see if anything has changed.

What happened what came loose.

Heater core hose. The clamp wasn't on right.
-

I put it back on and filled radiator and used funnel to try n get the bubbles out.
Which direction does the coolant flow? Is it out from head and through radiator to block or other direction?
-

Got pulled over AGAIN! I swear if I didn't have a tiny bit of influence I would be chasing Tom and Jerry around.

Damn. I believe to head for top hose and from head for hose on bottom

I believe is out of the head and through the block from the bottom house. In that direction. Don't quote me on it but that makes sense to me.
And Lmao I watch Tom&Jerry every day with my son before bed.

No ticket. :-) my chances are getting skinny.
I just don't understand. Could the water pump spin the wrong direction and as a result cause overheating keeping thermo closed? I mean yesterday I took friend in car and drove three miles in traffic to highway, needle was perfect. Got on it, it was hot and muggy as hell. No problems. Got on highway gave it hell. Drove at least five miles. Was perfect. Got off and in moving traffic not touching throttle it all of a sudden needle gets just to point where light goes on. I pull over right away. Needle stayed just a tiny bit over half. I stop and leave ignition on so fans are pulling the air nicely with open hood. Then needle went up, not down to 3/4 while car wasn't running. Then, all of a sudden it comes down really nice again and I started up and drove another three miles perfectly normal.
Had to put 6 - 10 ounces to fill back up. This morning another 6-10 ounces later. I can't believe that the air pocket would be that big. This is what I have been dealing with that just doesn't make any sense to me.
