He sure as hell was!
I don't get the shift knob tho, is it supposed to be a mis-shift joke?

yup its a misshift joke.
santa isnt done yet.
looking for a bar k20a2 head to build.
 Glad I got the joke, I iz so smart!
Damn, how much you think you'll pick that up for Mr. Nick Claus?
haha no worries! :P Around here there are people who have done the 1-2-3-2 shift, so its a good joke here.
Im torn wether or not i want to go.
super single clutch
or
xxr 531 wheels
and before soeone says it, if we had good roads and i had 3200 bucks id have real ccws :) that money went to k series parts :P
Id just like to change it up. had same rims for 3 years now, and they'd look good on the GFs ek (which we already started collecting parts for a k24 swap on hers)
Im impressed my clutch held up. ACT 6 puck heavy duty pressure plate. Its not slipping but its going to eventually. Might as well change it out while everythings apart. I was really set on CC stage 4 6 puck sprung, but the torque rating is at 350. Super single is good for 600, twin 800.
Yaaaa, i didnt got with it after all. I dont plan making more then 500, 550 max. so i opted for CC stage 5 single non sprung clutch. So for 300 on the clutch i picked up a skunk2 70mm TB.
Also i tore out the motor today, no pictures. Im stripping it down tommorow so i should have some pictures. Hopefully have the head dismantled and ready to be sent to get cleaned up
Started port matching the 70mm k tuned adapter to the rbc

dang work is blocking your photos :(
haha just browse them on facebook :P
DAMN! Parts galore!! Everything looks good man, but what are those springs for? Your wastegate?
MTEC springs are for the shifter mechanism. They stiffen the shifting up to feel more solid. You can get them in street and race.
Got my car moved to the shop. Started stripping everything out and welding/ filing the holes

Car's coming along well! Loving the interior, I like the gauge placement by the steering wheel, I've never seen that before. Hows the tuck/shave going?
haha the gauge thats held on by electrical tape? or the boost gauge in where cruise control use to be?
Its comming along. about 40 hours in it so far, and not done. :( I'm heading back today so i'll have some updated pictures.
The garage is my friends fathers full time garage, we borrowed it for 2 weeks full time while he was on vacation. I worked on my car in this garage 90% of the time. Its got everything. 2 full hoists, 1 middle empty bay, work shop, lunch room, show room, office, room for storage and another garage on the back thats not being used.

sick
The one thing I hate about purpul is that it's blue in some pictures and purpul in another :sadwavy: #PurpulProblems :rotfl:
Looks great man, can't wait to see everything back together. Are you doing under the hood as well? If not, I would suggest doing so. It makes the look THAT much better :thumb:
I wish the DC5 bay was that easy to shave and fill
Ill never do it again! haha i lost my finger prints in the process. arrggg.Although, once its done and painted, it makes a big difference and well worth it :)
i never did under the hood, its been at another shop getting recleared. I havent seen the purple look like blue yet, maybe once its outside.
started the head tonight. Hit a problem with one of the keepers not machined right from supertech. They are sending me another set.

Bottom end is being sent to machine shop to make sure everything is fine before the rings are installed and i get a complete motor again. I can't wait to drive it again. Who knows, im venturing the idea to post it for sale once its completed.
Looks awesome, glad SuperTech is doing right by you. Also, i was talking about the pictures. Look at the pics you posted of the bay, some look blue and some look purpul. #PurpulProblems <3
Wow! All this work just to sell it?! That would suck, but if you sold it what would you get as a replacement?

Ah ok i get what you mean now ;) Once the motor is in and everythign back together, it should look pretty damn good. Lets just hope the flat valves, meth kit and few other goodies push it over 500whp on same boost level.
I dealt with Norris proyontoo Racing with all my supertech products. He's been hands down one of the best companies ive dealt with.
Ya im thinking about it. Ive always wanted to get into something little comfier and higher class.... BMW e46 m3. Theres been quite a few ive found lately, that if i didnt have my car in pieces, we'd of gone and bought one. Here's the one i saw in ohio for sale. 20k obo
http://i359.photobucket.com/albums/o...DSC_9080-1.jpg
GF doesnt want me to sell the car and just pick one up this summer. My car doesnt owe me nothing, everythings paid for (which is a bonus)
Beemer looks nice, but it's an entirely different care. Much more torque, more of a racecar feel with RWD, and a HPF turbo kit is real pricey. Just sayin :vtec: And not having to make payments is a big part as well, IMO the teg is unique and well-built. I say stick with it, but that's just my :2c:
I'm sure you'll have great results with the new motor, but don't forget you'll need more boost to hit the same amount of power you used to hit because of lower compression. But, your meth kit and flux capacitor should help.
And Norris is definitely a great dude to deal with, I bought a wastegate from him and he has great customer service, as he is a customer himself.

I raised the compression this time from my old 9.8cp, also went from a 2 1/4 exaust to a 3". Not to mention running 13-14 degrees timing on 91 and this can now be tweaked some more with meth :) Im pretty confident 18psi should be close to 480-500 this time around. It's also going to be tuned on the dyno, not street tuned like last summer. Dont forget flux capacitor haha, thats another 10
Oh, ok. Well that's awesome then! I thought you had stock internals before hand.
Nice!! Keep us updated, I'd love to see how your setup does. Did you get the valves back?
Valves back? ;) always had them. it was the keepers, one was machined wrong. I got another and its all good to go.
Its been a slow process, and i havent worked on it much. But its been assembled and i was test fitting some push lock fittings on the manifold.

I just need a crank seal and the motor is ready to be put back in. I cannot wait to hear the turbo spool again...
That looks awesome dude, glad you got the keepers and everything is practically ready to go. Make sure you take a video and shout out to boostedk20 to show some love for the forum!
will do! hopefully in the next two weeks ill get a "re first start up video" :) I want to hear that whistle again.
^ Who will be tuning the new setup?
:yeahthat:
Not sure yet, but i want it dyno tuned this time.
http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...75160979_n.jpg
picture isnt up to date. everythings bolted in now and it started on the second try. TDC sensor wasnt plugged in on first try :P it was 1am by this time so i didnt get time to adjust fuel pressure but no vaccum leaks, pures like a kitten, just a little rich (base fuel rpessure was 63)
ive heard some good things about him.
i got it out and to the local car show on wednesday. 4 hours to bleed the car, but finally got it. Im very happy with the new radiator and dual fan set up. Last summer id be hitting 205 and best 195. So far i averaged 185 (fans kick on at 188) :)
