Maybe someone on here may know, or can point me to someone who will
I have a question/ issue about timing. It is impossible for me to get my crank pully to match up with everything.
Below you will see the TDC marks on the cams are lined up

The sproket that goes to the oilpump and crank is lined up perfectly with the block and all the colored links on the timing chain line up with the cams and crank sproket

BUT! the crank isn't lined up at all (suppose to use the white mark not the red one

Oem cp? Meaning the one that came off that particular motor. And is it a k24/20 frank motor?
-
Oem k20z3 crank pulley installed. VTC has not been adjusted in anyway and is still at factory settings. I lined up the 3 marks on the timing chain to the marks on the 3 gears (2 cam gear marks, 1 crank gear mark) If i just look that these the tming looks spot on, its when the crank pulley goes on that it looks WAY off. K20a2 block with k20z3 head.

Just looked into this seems ADM_RSX was onto something, the rsx pulley is 3/8 of an inch smaller than the k20z3's so that i would assume would cause the issue i'm having. Dose this mean i should just go by the crank sprocket and ignore the pulley marks?
-
The sprocket should be correct pending its from the original motor. I would think it to be correct vs the crank pulley that's not from your motor.

As far as I know the crankshaft pulley does not require any special alignment. It is "keyed" and cannot be aligned. At least mine was keyed and it sat where it sits :)
I looked in my service manual and it does not mention anything about aligning the crankshaft pulley with any markings.

Maybe it is the camera angle but on your crankshaft pulse plate I do not see the word "outside" on it. Just in case you overlooked that part it has to be flipped a certain way :ohnoes:
-
It says outside ;) You can also see where they marked it at honda when timing it at the factory!
Got the fuel cage installed today and ran the lines up to the engine. Also got the gauges in and wired, but I need my gauge pod. Just a lot of waiting on some parts then i can start wrapping things up!!

^ Looks good! Did you figure out how to line up the chain/sprocket?
