Diptech has awesome ish, and definitely get slicks! You'll pull high 10's without a doubt :wiggle:
They do good work. theres one that just started doing the whole dipping stuff.
doubt it'll hit 10s,at least not with a lot of seat time and a better track. Cars are running 130-135 mph running 10.8 at best, even some running 128mph only grabbing 11.8s.
Im happy with it so far. Its fun to drive. I put on 550km/week on this through out the summer months.
i pulled 126mph at 443 hp. Does that seem to be right ? some cars here are on race fuel running 500 pulling only couple mph more then me.
My tranny has a whine to it :ohnoes: I think the end is near, which why i didnt run slicks. :nervous:
Diptech really does do awesome work. As for hitting 10's, you definitely can with slicks, but seat time and track condition are definitely important factors. Pulling 126mph with 443whp is awesome, mainly because your car is crazy light. Probably ~2,000 lbs right? And Tranny whine is scary, mine is doing that in 1st gear from running radials at the track :nervous: If your tranny goes, what is your next step?
My car is stock weight, im gussing 2600 lbs with me in it. I was told since i was spinning 1-2 and most 3, i was gaining a lot of mph? I dont know how true that is. My guess is when i was on the dyno and was doing my 3rd gear pulls (spinning in 3rd aftter 6500) i might've actually gained some more HP if i had done it in 4th.
Our tracks are nothing like tracks you guys have. I was reading guys running 11s on street tires with 125-128mph. Thats just crazy!
My next step is slicks, wheels and skinnies. Theres a complete set up not to far away for 900 canadian.
I'll add some race fuel or meth, see what 20 psi will net with more aggressive timing. So far its set at 13 timing at 17 psi.
As for tranny, im hoping nothing happens. If it does, ill buy another base/ep3 tranny and lsd(unless i get some crazy money tree to grow, then id get dog box synchro 3-4 gear)
:)
It's fun little car now
Fun little car is definitely one way to put it. Lol. I was thinking of using OEM 1-2, PPG or albins 3-4, TSX 5-6. Not sure of ratios, but FWIK, they should work together. As for the mph thing, yea your MPH shot up from spinning, but I think it would be that way either way. Can't wait to see what slicks and skinnies will bring!
sam here. PPG would definetly ease your mind about breaking the tranny. What are you running for LSD?
Ya i think the same. When i got some grip my half track hit 93mph and end track 125.8 (which is my highest mph)
When i complete spun 3rd i trapped 89 mph and 124.5. Time will tell. My trap speed will also vary with the size of slicks
Maybe shes making more then 443whp :P
Thats what I was thinking, to keep cost down. OEM 1-2, PPG or albin 3-4, and TSX 5-6. Maybe OEM 5 and TSX 6. Less than 3k for the whole set though, soo worth it though. Cheaper than the 1-4 albins setup being 4600 :sigh: I'm running OEM LSD in the Si, not sure what spoolin is running though. And It might be making 443whp, but you're pretty light. Then again, prob is making more than that.
Its definetly lighter then an SI.
I just bought 2 3" J bends for my exaust, now just need to find some vbands and a nice muffler that sounds good.
couple pictures a bud took today

Absolutely love this car  If I could do up an integra, this car would be my role model. Very nicely done, however I wouldn't leave it unlocked in my driveway :rotfl:
just picked up some slicksd and skinnies. these are them.

also have my eye on a cooling mist trunk mount meth kit. 250psi pump with a 14gph nozzle
also purchased walbros new intank 400lph pump today. Can't wait to get it, looks like they stepped up their game and got back into the market.
Sold the Teg for a CRX? Lol, slicks look good! Skinnies too?
haha oh god no :P yup got the whole set up, now looking for a meth kit.
Nice, looks awesome! Don't lie, that CRX is your DD :giggle: and 400plh intank pump?! Sick! I'll have to sell my 255 lol
Slicks + skinnies = a good friday night :giggle:
400lph intank pump? That's the highest intank pump out, IIRC the highest was the DW 340lph before this. Post up some info in the tech section
It's actually the exact same as the 340lph pump. Their specs are shown to flow 400lph at 16v. So about 340lph at 12-13.5v. But yes it's deff a bit above the old school 255's. I'm running a 340 now and it's flow is awesome an its quiet at operation. I'm deff in for some pics of the new wheels on your car. And perhaps some VIDS!!!
Would you need a whole fuel set up to use the 400 pump? Or would it work with the stock system?
My guess is you would need a fuel return line.
well after a long weekend in New York and New Jersey watching some 8-9 second cars running in Outlaw and SFWD class, it gave me motivation again. I wish our ttracks were prepped like the NHRA track. Damn, 128mph is running well into the 10s!!
heres some pics. new slicks, rear lip,and walbroh pump. I also picked up a k teller exaust with resonator and magnaflow muffler. Comparing this to my current exaust, id be lucky if my exaust now is 2.5"

Next weekend is the last event. I inherited a 3rd gear grind, so i got some gm synchromesh to see if it'll help for the weekend. I want to dip in the 11s for sure.
That's the new 400lph fuel pump? Looks awesome, wonder how it will fit inside the tank. Slicks & skinnies look awesome, and what do you mean by the exhaust statement - if your new exhaust is even 2.5" or the old one?
http://a2.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...78294319_n.jpg
i have enough piping to make it fit.
I meant my old one, its no wheres near this size in diameter. I think im going to see a decent power increase with the exaust. At 17psi i should be near the 480-500 mark. Id be happy with 450. 7 more whp with new exaust seems doable
Easily if it's much smaller then your 3" exhaust. You'll truly see the benefit of a 3" on a k series.
http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...46835764_n.jpg
a little smaller lol i think i should see some good gains with the 3"
so i got it installed. 3" with just a magnaflow muffler. Well it sounds liek a wrx now and it spools real nice. I was hitting boost cut ar 4500rpm (19psi) when before it be 5500 rpm if that. so i need to retune and get my boost controller re done.
im excited! Going to try and hit the dyno after i get it retuned to see the difference
SO we do actually have the same exhaust. 3" piping with a Magnaflow muff. Id love to get together to compair our cars. Sound wise of course. lol
the difference between your tune and mine, is probably you have a higher octane gas at the pump. What are you running for timing at 14 psi?
You guys all have loud exhausts - makes me want a louder 3" since mine is ridiculously quiet
Ah ok Andy. I know our gas here sucks, so timing is limited. If we had 93 or if i had meth im sure 500 would be in the ballpark at 18psi.
you know, the exaust is loud. it gave me a headache yesturday from the vibration, noise and smell :P I might have to throw in a resonator
I also installed the new walbro pump. It was fairly easy to do, although i was nervous that it wouldnt fit back in the opening of the tank because the base of the pump is much larger. After some twisting and turning, it went in. Im fairly impressed at how quiet it is compared to the 255lph. I can barely hear it.
Decided i wanted power steering on my k swap. Dont think anyone around here has done it, so today i picked up a mint 02 rsx pump (8000km) and an rsx type s power steering high pressure line. Ordered a Hayden cooler and 3/8" line on ebay. Tommorow ill pick up a belt and reservoir, hopefully everything works out. Im guessing my power steering rack is shot after having it looped for 3 years
power steering line from an rsx. perfect fit for an integra rack. I installed it tonight, had to do some bending of the hardline but looks like it'll clear my downpipe/dupetube just fine.

New pump (almost) im hoping this will clear my hood without having to notch anything.
http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...03303076_n.jpg
I'll post pictures tommorow of it all done. I dont think theres a k swap on these parts running power steering (eg/ek/dc)
Ya i read about the blower pulley, but they cost almost 150 USplus shipping for them (from what ive found anyways) I'll try the stock pump pulley and go from there. Im debating finding a plug and hooking up the sensor on the power steering line. It acts as a boost of power so your rpms dont drop while you turn (at a stop maybe?)
next venture would be AC again. Thatts going to be more of a challenge.
http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...82256772_n.jpg
I'lltake care of the high pressure line looking so crappy. Might polish it to match the manifold.
Its nice to have power steering again. I have a leak, im not sure if its the high pressure line leaking at the threaded part, or if its leaking out of the inner tie rod dust boot. It was too late to check and getting chilly out :madd:
Build looks great man. Seen it on k20a.
Sick, glad to hear you're liking the PS. Leaks suck, especially in cold weather. Where did you come up with the PS line from a RSX fitting in your teggy? That's pretty nutty info lol
I just read some info online. There is a how too i read and it explained that an 02-04 line would fit, and you need to bend and twist to your liking. As for the leak, my reservoir hasnt gone down, so im thinking it was excess from when it first leaked at the fitting (my dumbass didnt tighten the fitting enough :P)
Right now im getting a retune done. Its hitting boost cut WAY sooner then before and takes A LOT less work from the boost controller.
http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot...76638590_n.jpg
Previous, i was hitting 15 psi at 5000 rpm and 17 at 5300 to redline. Not anymore :P
