Nice! What color will it be in the end? Will we have to wait and see? Good idea on the tarp btw.

Beaut. I don't know what I'd do without my washer fluid lol.
decided to finally start working on my car again.....
Started by finishing my RBC shave. I decided to cut out the webing
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-25211012.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-25212520.jpg
both sides
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-25214409.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-25221640.jpg
then started sanding and finishing
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-26181627.jpg
oh yeah
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-26201332.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-26201341.jpg
Nice! Glad to see she's coming back together slowly :thumb: How much of a PITA is it to remove the IM?
Well I was just trying to clean up my Rack and Pinion and ended up going over board....
here is what I started with
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29095936.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29101219.jpg
Then I decided to clean up the tie rod ends... I've always hated them
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29095929.jpg
then polished them lol
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29101226.jpg
also started cleaning up the base
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29101350.jpg
oh yeah
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29102334.jpg
and the final bling
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29104511.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-29104531.jpg
Also shaved off the brackets from this bar. I'm going to have it powdercoated
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...6-26212212.jpg
Do I smell another DIY? :spazapproved:
You wanna know my method on taking off an intake manifold lol I can't reveal all my secrets lol j/k
Sharing is caring :wavey: So do you have all the parts for your turbo setup yet?
So tonight I fabed up a bracket for my new adjustable proportioning valve.
For anyone with a work bench if you don't have a dry erase board above it you're missing out!
All great products start with planning
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01174358.jpg
Then after I made my measurements I put them down on cardboard and cut them out
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01180612.jpg
Put it on my prop valve to check
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01180636.jpg
Looks like it should work. So I bought a new sheet of metal
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01180925.jpg
and traced out my pattern
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01181025.jpg
cut it out
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01191418.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01183932.jpg
drilled out the holes and test fitted the first part
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01190412.jpg
now it has plenty of strength but I want a supporting bottom plate too. So all I did was flip my bracket and make an identical second one
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01190947.jpg
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01192107.jpg
one on top of the other nearly PERFECT I about shit myself lol j/k
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01192122.jpg
Now drill that out and test it up!
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01195904.jpg
and now for ease of installation I'm gonna get out the welder
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01200839.jpg
sorry this weld sucked but it didn't need to be pretty
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01201233.jpg
and now the second nut
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01201808.jpg
and now enjoy the finished product!
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-01195904.jpg
I then sanded down all the edges and smoothed everything out. I will have them powdercoated black before installation.

Good call on the OEM throwout bearing .. I was lazy and kept the CC TOB .. ehh I'll get it right next time.
nothing special to update but finished the taping of the manifold for vacuum lines. I am going to run AN fittings to everything.

Just screwed in a fitting to test it
http://i918.photobucket.com/albums/a...7-03205643.jpg

Looks awesome! Makes me want to undergo those crazy changes, because in the end its all worth it. I'll start small though, lol.
AN fittings get expensive, but they are super nice!!
