its a db fab manifold. Few others i have seen had one and it didnt creep this bad. i might venture into another gate, or an AFI manifold.

Last year it would hold 17psi but that was with a 2 1/4 exaust creating a lot of back pressure.
Wait, it's creeping 20psi or creeping to 20psi? Because there's a big difference, lol. I can see why it would creep though.
The mani is probably the culprit. I will start a thread for the jdl design stuff threthread
well today it seemed to work better. the tuner worked the boost controller a little more, and we got to add some timing to it along with the meth. it stays in the 15psi range from 4900-7000, then creeps to 17 by 8000... then i was just scared lol
if all else fails, ill sell it and buy a new manifold, or buy another wastegate to have it welded on the bottom
I would save the money of buying another gate and go with a well known and r&d'd manifold like AFI or FULL-RACE. I've seen a lot of people try and modify the mani's with little success.
Got mag tuned today. Couldn't figure out why I was over boosting even with the settings on the hondata boost controller on the lowest. was seeing 18lbs when i wanted to get tuned to 10-12
so we just turned off the boost control and tuned off my WG spring.
Any anys why it wasnt working?
All vac line are hooked up correctly.
Well whats going on with the car ? Is it fixed ? you buy a different manifold ? wg ?
so it doesnt creep on the gate spring? but it does on the boost controller?
by the way. anyone knw what "piece" full race and similar companys use to create this "tear drop" desing?

what type of boost controller is it ? and have you tried a different one ? I was discussing boost creep the other day and or boost by gear with somebody .It was brought to my attention that with the boost controller I ran last season (mac valve /hondata solenoid )would have issues if the wheels spin down low spiking rpms the computer would cause the boost to spike as the computer sees big rpms and allows the boost to go to whatever it is set at in that gear .I hadn't thought of this but it makes sense although maybe not your issue I thought I would share .I will likely be running the aem unit this season when the car is finally done .On another note if I were you and the t3 is creeping I think I would have to consider a FR mani in twin scroll I went from an AFI t3 that creeped to a Full Race T4 TS and have 0 regrets man its more $ but wow its well woth the money imho
Wouldn't mind pushing on those myself lol

Great minds think alike :wavey: So hows the DC5 coming out?
its not :lawl:
slowly but surely starting to put her back together
liar
:rotfl: So the guy who sanded down my valve cover for paint sanded it down too much and put a hole in it...
So I'm in Anatomy and Physiology, and the professor brought up Red Blood Cells, but wrote RBC. So I've been thinking about intake mani's for the past half hour. :FUU:
I spy.....

Dead in here :wavey: Just ordered a 10x8 rear wheel for the Ruckus... This is gonna get pricey fast.
Here's a mini video:
Wheel choices were:

and
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41BizTz0aIL.jpg
I chose the second one. I like the larger wheel look vs the step look. I'll have it powdercoated anyway.
Anyone in here today? :sadwavey:
 woot! Whats goin on? Im lacking sleep getting ready for Honda Day. Itll be well worth it though
Yo yo .... what a rough day at work. Enjoying a nice captain and coke now

Waiting on parts sucks so bad.... especially turbo parts

How was that captain and coke? Captain and ginger ale tastes like cream soda... with a kick! :giggle: Waiting for parts is the worst. Especially when you have a deadline and need certain parts to install other parts. And long, rough days at work make it all worse. Thank god for boost, beer, bitches, and forums.
Amen.
Let's all try to guess what "aLmk"s username means/stands for.. aunt Louise makes kites!
I'm waiting on derek from all in fab

Yea that'll do it. I've heard he's been denying people or not even responding/calling people back for work to be done. I know he's busy, but why have poor business practice?
Anyway, what is he doing for you?
The phone number I had for him was turned off. He even told me he is just ignoring people because he's just to busy.... If that is the case it's bull shit he took on all these projects... he could easily whip out my kit in a week or two. He has a premade intercooler already. Just needs to make my manifold which he should have a jig for and then my piping.
He is suppose to get me a precision 6262 with tial wastegate and bov with his tucked intercooler/radiator. Downpipe and dumptube. Pretty much a full kit.

Doesn't sound like good business practice to me. If you need help resolving any issues, don't hesitate to let me know.
On a positive note, the community is growing :)
