with a 255 you dont need more than a 3-5 mm spacers honestly with a 275 prob do 10mm or so maybe 15 just depends on your height to see if it will hit the fender and quarter
im on 17*9+35 on a 245/45 i only slightly rub on bumps but these coils arent very stiff
Yea you cant even get a finger between the trailing arm and rim on the 17x9 +35, its literally that close lol lol
Id run a 3mm spacer just to pull it out just enough to clear the rear trailing arm and you dont need extended studs, then run the 275/40 and call it a day...... Cause running the 15 with the +38 knocks you out to +23 and i know guys have to do major fender work to get a +22 rpf1 with a 255/40 tires on them and run a good amount of camber to get it to fit under there......... Because the majority of guys on the +22 in 17x9 run a 245/40 because that's the biggest you can run without getting into fender work or camber
Ok so 5mm spacers for the rear and extended studs all around with some fender rolling

I feel like your gunna have to roll the fenders no matter what with any of the setups. Also dont you already have to run extended up front for slicks? Should just do them in the rear to match anyways. The rears are the easy part as I will hopefully find out this weekend when I embark on the journey. Are you coming this sunday?
yeah man 5 i think would be the perfect size to get
