Yeah I plan to try it at the track next time I go. I think what I'll do is start out doing it from a low RPM like 3k and slowly work my way up to like 6500 or so to get the hang of it and see what rpm works best. Hopefully I'll eventually dip into the 12's!
I like the hammer/wall analogy. Definitely going to keep that in mind for the future :thumb: Do you need to preload the clutch with the e-brake though?
Yea you need to use the e brake to keep yourself from moving.
Makes sense, must take a nice layer of material off your clutch though..
Yea definitely wears the clutch.
Dam I hadn't read this this thread in a while and but I'd rather take a little off the clutch than break an axle or transmission.I can't wait to get my car back together and hit the track again its been apart a while and I have a fresh minty trans all ready to go gonna try to make some more power on it and hope it holds up again like the last one did .I am gonna have to build a trans this I know but $$$ . I am not going to be able to compete consistently til I do and I love the race track to much to break mid season
^that! a clutch is a a cheap replacement, especially since its a wear item. Transmissions are a very expensive fix.
