This is the second time I've heard of people putting in BKR7EIX plugs in on built motors. WTF?! Grab some BKR9EIX plugs, gap to .018-.020 and enjoy. As for if they are scored, I can't help. I have no clue.

Well guys I tore apart the motor and found piston #1 to be scarred up. Here's a few pics of #1 and #2 pistons

That lies the issue. I'm not sure what happened. Some say it was lean, some say detonation, some say ring/piston failed.
All in all I have no clue. But what I do know is I will need to go 88-89mm bore which will require new pistons ect.

Damn. This is why I'm afraid to build my motor. I always hear of how shops do poor jobs, accidents like this happening, etc. I wish I knew what to tell you man. Any weak parts in your build?
Not really anything weak. I used wiseco's, upgraded pins, Manley turbo tuff Rods, acl race bearings, arp rod bolts head studs ect. I'm looking at Manley pistons now for the build. 89mm. Gonna have them heat coated or something.Quote:
