Yeah, I thought about that long and hard. If I happen to run across one I probably will. Until then I'm going to cut this bumper because no one has made an offer on it. It's cool. I'm sure it will work. Even the stock bumper had to be cut and the intercooler wouldn't fit with the bottom piece.

That's what she told me anyway. Lol

The radiator is fairly stout as well.

Ok. Time for body shop. Getting car repainted as I'm replacing bumper, skirts, fenders and doors. Going for clean look and coil overs. I'll be running on the track this season and wonder if any of you guys have any recommendations. I'm looking at fortune auto and KW Variants

Nice, good stuff! Recommendations of what, suspension?

Yeah, suspension.

Going with mugen bumper and side skirts and carbon rear. Should look ok. If not it's going back to stock.

Well, depends on your goals IMO. I'm not familiar with DC5 coilover kits, but you want to know spring rates and a wide adjustable dampening range. Lets you dial the car in just right. Quality is an absolute must, of course. 👍
I hear you.

Heard nothing but good things about the Fortune Auto coils for the DC5. The KWs are typically known to be high quality but also really really expensive. AMR would have been a good bet if he hadn't been screwing so many people out of their coils.
Yeah. I like the idea of buying fortune autos myself if they are as good but my money is on quality since I'm only going to do it once. Maybe next season I'll ask to drive a few Rex's so that I can get an idea. I also heard some people knock them too. None of my friends are dissatisfied but I have yet to drive myself.

It's all based on your goals. What options are in the playing field right now?

Well, I just bought another house. May not have surplus cash for awhile.

Thanks. I think it will be quite a project but for the price very cheap.

I dunno. I just got it repainted recently. I could go for that 500 mark with an E85 tune but my trans can't handle all that and the cmc I installed is heavy. I was walking with a limp for a few weeks till I figured out why. 🚀

I'm just reading through all these posts again, a chronicle of the time spent and it's kinda cool. This summer I'd like to make one of the meets if you're all still doin those meetshttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...8c27180e7f.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...619ee31ecf.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...660656e16c.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...51a0bde037.jpg. We should put something together. This should be done by then and I'll have a little room to breathe for a bit. http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/12...6367fc0056.jpg

Well, I've come to another step in the process. I ordered a bunch of stuff. KW V2's, hard race bushings, rear rotors, replacing clutch, pressure plate and flywheel, subframe washers (don't know if they make a difference) and doing a return line so got ktuned fuel rail, gauge and regulator.
Questions, you guys done this? Hard lines or braided fuel line?
Also, should just go ahead and do tie rods and ball joints? 120-40 thousand miles on the OD.

The fun of ordering parts! Not sure about the subframe washers either. Regarding your fuel question, we did a fuel return on our FG2. -6an feed, OEM hardline as return. Works great and surprisingly holds power! As for suspension, tie rods and ball joints may prove beneficial - use a visual inspection along with how the car feels to decide if it's worth doing.
Keep us in the loop!
I have had a major issue with removal of rear trailing arm toe bolt. I may need to replace the trailing arm. This sucks balls because as I now see those bushings look fairly stout. As in I doubt replacing the rear bushings with the Hard Race bushing was even a good idea.
Perhaps the fronts will make a big difference but I can't see how replacing the LCA and spindle bushings in rear will even be a noticeable difference. I will post pics of the progress once I get those pieces apart and begin to push the bushings in.
I ordered tie rod ends as they didn't seem to have excessive play but they were loose, probably going to put in new ball joints as well. I had to order new front top hats as the 05-06 ones were a different style. This really had me confused at first. So still waiting on those parts.
Other issues include stuck drive shaft in front that is probably shot. Pictures to come.
If you have any diy's on return line that you could point me to. A few I read were not a good idea and I

Tried everything. Sawzall barely fit, I had a hacksaw that didn't work, heated it up to cherry red. My neighbor grabbed my mallet and bent the shit out of it. I was going to try a different type of hacksaw blade and do it by hand but now?

Anyone know where these go in the Oem top hat setup? I can't find in manual nor can I find reference to it in the shop manual.
