New to this Forum

My name is Fred (AKA PortMaster) and I own a 2008 Si FG2 Boosted of course. I bought the car in 2009. Paid my car off last year and started building the motor in my garage in Jan 2012. I just finished my build in April/May. Built and tuned it myself. Although, I asked for Vit to tune me last month that dude knows his stuff LOL :) I am currently running my own tune at 20psi because I am impatient. But I know enough not to blow my shhtuff up :angel:

I will create a build thread but just wanted to introduce myself :vtec:fred

Had a boost leak but still managed 421HP



Running the 8th mile 8.57s@92mph


Me missing 2nd gear on the 1/4 mile :giggle:
Best time was 13.2s@120.01mph (on street tires)

:welcome::wavey: Love the build and the car. Very balsy with the front bumper, but I think it turned out awesome. Function>Form FTW! What are you planning to run boost/power wise when all is "said and done" and do you plan on returning to the track?

Thanks guys! Yeah the front bumper was a gamble. I could not find an aftermarket one that I liked and had a big enough opening. It is nice having IAT the same as outside air temperatures ;)

I am currently running
10psi in 1st and 2nd gear
13psi in 3rd (which is just for show I guess because it spins the tires off like a boss at 5krpm)
20-21psi in 4th 5th and 6th gear

My power goal of 500+hp has been met on pump gas.
I was hoping to reach 500+hp without running that much boost but that is what it took. Maybe with a better turbo I could have.

Let's see some street action! And yes I actually like the bumper. I need to figure out how to cut mine yet keeping it clean at the same time.

Yeah its big and aggressive. But in a street car so sure if fully necessary. I would expand the grill out but only a bit...
