For any self builders out there in need of guideance in the whole TDC and chain links and what not, here i will leave an informational post that helped me a ton when i was putting my motor together with no help at all.

Marking on the crank sprocket and block indicate TDC

Also dots on the IN and EX cam gears shall line up with the colored links on the chain.

EX

IN

Also markings on the cam gears shall be aiming at each other to indicate cams are straight in position.

On the k24 you line up the dots on the cam gears between the two colored marks on the chain.

On the k20 you line up the dots on the cam gears right on the colored marks on the chain.

k20 chain has a total of 3 marks
k24 chain has a total of 5 marks

i have put together both motors on the past.

its common sense fellas, on the k24 timing chain the two maks are not their for their health.
