Heck our little K series engines can cost enough when ya build em right .I was talking to a very well know tuner recently about "All Motor" K series cars and was surprised at how much it can cost to build one like the ones ya see running 10's and I think now in the 9 s .I love when so called local Honda guys are like so and so is running faster than your boosted k and it's All Motor .What they don't seem to realize is just how much money those race teams spend on those All Motor engines and how often they are torn down .

I had a conversation with someone that sold fully built N/A K-series race engines. They go for 14-15k easily for the built motor. No bolt-ons, no IM, header, tb, etc. They also go up to 16:1 & 17:1 compression ratios. Things are insane.

Shows how great of a motor company Honda is.

I bought one and couldn't bring myself to cut the holes in my bumper so I sold it haha .They look ok on some cars but I just felt it was to rice for my hatch .It looks pretty good on that car and would probably look good on yours as well but one thought if you aren't sure and not gonna race it all the time is you could buy a spare bumper from the salvage yard or e bay and hack it up and just use it for the track .

So i found out yesterday that you cant mix match interior wire harnesses in the RSX :FUU:

My base fuel pump clip is only a 2-pin clip, but the type-s is like a 16-pin. So i had to order a new floor harness (40 bucks). ill probably make a wire sleeving basics DIY if anyone is interested in joining the wiring crew :)

If i was home i would take a pic to show you. Pretty much you take the bar out of hoist and using the bolts from the transmission to mount it to the engine where the transmission mounts, you just have to align the mounts to the nearest holes. then pick up the motor and put the bar into the stand. if you're motor still has the crank and pistons in it you might need a friend to help you pick up the motor and put it on the stand

Had a great weekend although there were many oil downs on the track and the rain out on Saturday it made for some good times with good friends .I enjoyed meeting everyone from the forum and hanging out with all my friends this past weekend and watching some great racing at an awesome track !

I've been tuning for a while, yea. Things keep coming up, and i'm also trying to save up some extra dough or parts in case something breaks. For example, my knock sensor went bad, so I couldn't continue tuning until I changed it. But I was changing my IM in like 2 months fron that point, and doing a fuel return and all that jazz. So I did it all together. Didn't make sense to swap the knock sensor and later on do the IM, since the breakdown is mostly the same.

We're getting there though with the tuning.

Wow it's good to be home from the weekend of racing and I think that ct Tensioner will do the trick with a bigger Gator Back belt .

I arrived home to a new 4 port solenoid and new Waste Gate springs from ATP .Now I'm awaiting the Prayoonto stage 2 s I purchased over the weekend which should be here in the next day or two .Then I gotta decide to put the cams in now or hold off til my work slows back down mid winter .

.It actually worked out though we all went to a friends house a half hour away from the track where it had not rained.They had pizzas and beer one guy was detailing cars , we all had a good time talking smack , from blowers to turbo to suspension and various topics and people were goin for rides in wannavtecs s/c si .It was a great weekend :boostedk20:

Can't wait for spring to roll arounyd and car season starts again! Track trips and some OC trips! I should have this belt issue figured out shortl. Looked at fitting the CT tensioner last night. I might have a issue with clearance with fuel return fitting might be a issue. But I think I can drop the tensioner back in its original position which could give me the room I need. I have also been in contact with Jose of Mercracing about getting a tensioner made also. Me and Jose have been through a few builds together and I know he can get it done! Can not wait for it to keep grip and make and hold boost! 16 psi at 4k so far and them slippage!!!!!!! :giggle:

Seems odd it reads vaccum but not boost if you have it wired properly which I think you probably do. I'd be calling aem and probably sending that gauge into have it checked if you just replaced the sender and it still does the same thing it was doing .I also noticed there is snow on the ground in that video Dam

I was on the phone a month ago with AEM. I did multiple volt meter testing to the sending unit. It is getting proper power but the original sending unit failed the ohm meter test. So I sent it in and literally just opened this brand new sending unit and installed it and bam it does the same thing.. reads 0 Boost.

The gauge has it's own power lead and ground and the connector plugs directly from gauge to sending unit... no way of messing this up. They even call it their easy plug and play gauge. . .

That's a shame as that's not a cheap gauge .So you did volt test but did they also have you ohm out the wires from the gauge to the sender ? I would suspect one of two things at this point and that would be a broken wire in the harness between the gauge and sender or a faulty gauge as I doubt that you have gotten 2 bad senders although I suppose anything is possible .I'd be on the phone with them again tomorrow if I were you .

I had a very similar issue with my AEM boost gauge. AEM replaced the gauge for me as they ended up being the problem.

I was on the phone a month ago with AEM. I did multiple volt meter testing to the sending unit. It is getting proper power but the original sending unit failed the ohm meter test. So I sent it in and literally just opened this brand new sending unit and installed it and bam it does the same thing.. reads 0 Boost.

The gauge has it's own power lead and ground and the connector plugs directly from gauge to sending unit... no way of messing this up. They even call it their easy plug and play gauge. . .
I had pretty much the same issue, and IIRC, the guy from AEM said, a while ago they had a batch of gauges that were improperly pinned from the factory, so if you de-pin and re-pin based on how it came it would still be incorrect, and I think that's what happened with my gauge. Key thing is they replaced it free of cost to me after determining the gauge became broken because of the improperly pinned plug, and this was even several months after I purchased it new, since I bought it a couple months before installing.

Well hopefully he has the same issue and they take care of it .I have the aem wide band and it's been solid since day one hell I think I am still on the same sensor since day 1 and wow have I had many many tunes and tuners since then and it's still accurate .

They do have great customer service I've contacted them a few times and always go smoothly.

Asp makes nice stuff I have his catch can / battery tray and scatter shield on my transmission .

So AEM just called me already.. they are completely baffled. They want me to send back the whole thing now. Sounds like maybe the gauge itself but they have no idea. I feel honored to baffle them.. Maybe I'll ask for a sponsorship later ;)
