I know the owner doesn't browse this site, but hes a good friend and ive put a lot of time with him on this car, so i'll post up his car anyways. Everything on this car was done in house. Welding, intercooler, piping, motor assembly etc.

So we took out the "baby motor" aka stock sleeve k24 two weeks ago. He managed 610whp@21psi and pulled a 10.80@132,8mph @17psi hitting rpm limiter at 7500 rpm.

Thanks to BT performance in Matane quebec for letting us use their dyno equipment, we managed a low 785whp and 550trq @31-33psi. We had MAJOR spinning issues in the 700+ range and couldnt crack that 800whp mark.

within the next couple weeks a cage is going in it and if hits over 150mph, well parachute set up is next.

His goal is low 10s, i set his goal for a 9 second pass once his equipement is set up to put the power to the ground :)

This is amazing. And on a stock tranny! Thats great. Nice to see that it's a built frankenstein setup. 750whp is awesome! Definitely a 9 second setup if it catches traction. Keep us updated!

GoPro pictures look awesome btw! :boostedk20:

Side note: What AEM gauge is that in the dash for his wideband? The white numbers are so clear I love it

Thanks!

ya traction is going to be the issue, but theres some ecu components the guys in SFWD use to put down the power that we have for the car. Its just matter dialing it in. Id LOVE see a 9. No one has done it here, no one has upper 700whp right now.

The gauge is an AEM failsafe. Its pretty wicked. Plug it into the laptop, you can switch between AFR, and boost. It can flash red real fast after a set AFR if it goes lean. I dont know why hes using it since the dash has everything listed in your face.

i dont expect the tranny to last 1 pull down the track. Once power shifts it from 3-4 and it doesnt drop out of boost, its going destroy something. I'm almost positive once that happens, a dogbox will be in the works for next year

So sick man. I can't wait to see it run at the track. I would love to see the trans last at least one pass.

Hit the track today. Started out slow on the boost, trying to keep the tranny alive. 6 passes and we started with 119mph up to 148mph @ 27psi in 4th (bbg, less boost in other gears). I got him to turn the boost up all over and put 34psi in 4th, along with preaching "power shift" so doesnt loose time between shifts. Well boost worked, but powetshifting did not. Sheared the teeth off second gear.

Final run @ 27psi 10.32@148mph. More work on the half track and its into the 9s.

Bascially hes done for this year, as he has other cars to finish up, so we'll just wait for the dogbox to arrive and pro axles ;) (and 3 piece, cc wing, difusser, and parachute)

ill have a in car video once youtube decides to finish "processing" my edit... 14.56 minute go pro video for a whole 30 seconds of actually total racing haha

My goal for him was 10.00 @ 155mph. So far this year he has 13 passes total. 6 @ 550-600whp stock sleeve and 7 today (6 if you dont count the broken tranny). For the little amount seat time, we were happy at 10.3

Holy Fuck that looks fast Lol however I wouldnt have wot shifted on a stock trans with 700+hp. Lol my all motor setup would rape 2nd gears all day.

haha oh i know. He was losing A LOT of time between shifts by looking at the datalog, and would drop boost quite a bit between shifts.

This literally PULLS up top man. Sick. What size turbo? Precision 6766?

boosted_teg
10-12-2013, 11:50 AM
6766 BB divided t4 1.xx housing on the exaust. we had the boost turnt down in 1-2.. a little too low IMO which why his half track suffered. But the one time we turnt up second, BOOM. This is even with a tilton control valve on the clutch line to help control shock of the tranny.

This will easily be over 150mph next year and into the 9s once the new tranny is bought/installed

It's what I installed. It won't be a miracle piece but for peace of mind I am using it. It proved it reacts fast enough to snap an axle

you did snap an axle or didnt? which pill did you try?

I personally dont have it on mine. I dont know if it would hurt a single disc clutch on the street or not.

I know clutchmasters has come out with one that doesnt require you to "break" the line (no need to bleed clutch over and over) when you swap out the pills

Yea I read up on that one after I had already gotten mine installed. I really like how you don't have to rebleed the system to change pills. And I'm using the .040" pill which is the one that comes pre-installed. I may go and change it but I don't feel it's necessary. The axles just weren't up to par now that they are the diff has failed me I believe.

Does that device slip the clutch some?

echo3gulf

thats interesting i never knew about that!!!!

boosted_teg
10-15-2013, 11:59 AM
The Tilton Fluid Flow Control Valve works by restricting the return flow of hydraulic fluid by a tunable amount, reducing shock loads to the driveline by allowing the clutch to slip slightly during engagement. It does not restrict flow during release. Shock load is the result of an abrupt clutch engagement when the crankshaft and input shaft speeds are not precisely matched. The Tilton Fluid Flow Control Valve is designed to reduce the risk of traction loss when downshifting or damaging driveline components (broken axles, transmission, etc).
