Third-grader Alexis Wasik said police and teachers barged into her classroom and told students to hide in the corner...

..."Everybody was crying," she said. "And I just heard the police officers yelling."

This angers me beyond belief. I don't understand how or why the world has become what it is today. When I was a kid, this kind of stuff BARELY happened. How can you get into a fight with your mother, shoot her with her own gun that is registered to her, then go to the elementary school that she teaches at and kill her students because they mean everything to her? Seriously leaves a horrible taste in my mouth, and I don't know how to go about this.

Now there is a ton of 'anti-gun' law ideas being put in people's heads but they don't even realize how anti-gun laws won't do anything in this situation anyway. Now, I don't own a gun but here's my view on it. There's an old saying that goes, "If you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns." The supposed purpose of outlawing guns (for everyone but certain privileged members of the government) is to take them out of the hands of those that would use them to Murder, Steal, Rape, or perform other forms of Coercion with them. However, the problem is that people who would use guns to Murder, Steal, Rape, or perform other forms of Coercion tend not obey any government law (including the outlawing of guns), and end up keeping the guns they have, and purchasing guns whenever choose to (regardless of the outlawing of guns).

The net result is that only the people who would use Guns to defended themselves and those they care about have their guns taken away, leaving them defenseless. Thus, instead of outlawing guns making "good" people safer, outlawing guns makes "good" people unsafe and tends to increase the amount of Murder, Steal, Rape, and other forms of Coercion... since these "good" people no longer have a way to defend themselves. And there is no longer a threat, of getting shot, to these people who would Murder, Steal, Rape, or perform other forms of Coercion.

Unfortunately, the best we can do at this point is look at our lives, ourselves, and our family/friends, and cherish what we have and be happy that we live the lives that we do. And if we are unable to be happy, we should do anything we can to change that immediately. I will leave you with one last picture:
