i also saw the new eaton supercharger on mercracing site.. how well do you think this will be compare to our old skool jackson

Well it is a more efficient roots style blower. They call it a hybrid between the TS and a true roots style blower. The biggest advantage with running the TVS over a Whipple is the internal by-pass. They sized a little different and until there are a few out there putting down numbers it will be harder to tell what size to actually compares to past Whipple or bigger roots style blowers.

Need to know what size belt to use for my 06 civic si Jackson racing supercharger setup with 3inch (2.95in) blower pulley by Merc racing and crv crank pulley...need to know what belt size I need for this combo. Any info from anyone running this setup would be great thanks.

mostly no one is really going to have that info do to people normally go with the 6.37" pulley. You could try a 61.5" and go from there. Make sure you put it on by the crank pulley, not the blower pulley.

Hey guys. I went to Brazil and was hoping to hook up with everton to see that beast ass civic but no luck. He seems to be a baller and in Brazil that is no understatment. People live life there very simple and so few modified cars. I wanted to take pictures of some of the cars there as I saw a custom made formula one looking beast and another urban assault vehicle with two huge tractor looking wheels on each side. Damn. Going to have to get my cousin to take those pics for me if he could. Those were pretty wild looking.
Anyway, I have questions and was wondering this time about exhausts. Anyone with a DC5 tried that new oval 3inch from ktuned? Wondering about that sound and clearance.

Regarding everton, that's unfortunate you couldn't see him. Def seems to be a baller. But a cool guy. Awesome you went to Brazil though! (Say Brazil the way Toretto did when Hobbes walked up on him in the late night racing scene in Fast 5)

Hate to say it- but I'm not that far behind you. Look at TTS performance- the c38-81 race kit would be an awesome setup for your k20a. Absolutely safe for a stock motor- look up Jaydee on k20a.org. He is the rotrex guru- his stock motor k20z1 on a c38-81 made over 500whp. I am SERIOUSLY considering selling out for a TTS EP full race kit. 👍

No, it was pieced together by a shop out of jersey by a guy who had it on his ep3 then sold to me and fitted by Jason Su from Suja 1. The build was more ambitious than were my skills. They did an awesome job with the welding and cutting. Next time I will attempt it. But that said, you can not go wrong with rotrex.

Haha dude I'm way ahead of you. My old jrsc k24 setup ended up at 416whp/305wtq before the blower popped. Unfortunately for us with the EP or DC5 chassis- the kraftwerks DIY kit is all that's available... But it looks completely worth the custom work.

SAX JONZ

I will take a picture. Mine looks to have plenty of space. It's just the piping that gets in the way. When you see how mine is mounted you'll get a better idea of what you can do, Beppe
And 2.4 with that 416 is awesome. I always heard they don't make as much power so I never even considered it but I think I read that the Rotrex is good for 650 on a 2.4. No way that's happening on stock internals.

I think TTS makes a DIY kit, which is basically the charger, mounting bracket, and oil pieces. It is pretty much the same as our kraftwerks DIY kit. You would need custom intercooler with piping- these guys have good examples of what you would need to do. It would take some work but you could be looking at 4-500whp on that stock k20a with the right charger and bolt ons!

But there is always E85 and with version 4 KPRO I can run dual fuel so that's nice. Damn, your kit made more powa than mine does. It's a conservative dyno but yeah, maybe it's time to go back to drawing board.

Now your using the DC2.2 cams right? You should take a look at that k20a.org link I posted. Jaydee has been experimenting and developing his rotrex atom for a long time now and he has made a TON of power on it. His stock motor k20z1 with c38-81, meth injection, and pump 91 made 540whp when he added a RRC intake and a 74mm throttle body.... That's turbo #s.

Maybe those cams are hurting your setup? You could be blowing most of your intake charge right out the exhaust. How does your boost curve look? Might be worth it to try a set of oem k20a/z1/z3 cams in your k20 and see how it goes.

SAX JONZ

Maybe. I still have my z1 cams. Meth injection? That may be where the power comes in. My car has a worked skunk 2 with HR 74mm TB. I would hate to know that I put that money in to a set of cams when stock would pull better numbers. I'll definitely look in to all the details. Maybe I should try meth injection. Was going to run the E85 and see where that got me. At the moment I'm trying to get the body together and perhaps a set of track dedicated coilovers. If I make much more power then I may run in to other issues...namely the trans. I do think I'm making too low for what I have in it. Was thinking I should have gotten close to five hundred but I'll definitely look in to it.

bluEP3_SC

Generally speaking- your right. The old school jrsc kits generally don't make as much power because they are not overly efficient. My kit has been rebuilt and ported for higher rpm usage, and is helped along by an aftercooler and a meth injection kit. I also use e85 along with pump gas. To date- I have not seen any one else, k20 or k24, make more than mine in stock form.

Your rotrex setup is the future though. It's small, light weight, and full of power potential. A little bit of tweaking and reworking and you could easily be up in the 500whp range. I think once I'm satisfied I've gotten the most out of my jrsc I'm gonna go the kraftwerks route

I spoke with a rep at DC and before I even mentioned he answered my questions about what I'm making and the boost I was pushing. He also mentioned that I could get that power but that I needed to build the internals or risk catastrophic engine failure. So I guess what I have is fine for now but 2.4 could be right around the corner. Who knows.
