Ok guys. I'm having trouble solving my problem. My current problem is how to feed air to my intercooler. Most of it is blocked by the upper part of my bumper. As you can see here the fmic gets "some" air.

http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/adm_rsx/DC299986-9E8A-4694-B69A-04FAF4937E32-21128-00001421AE39E7BC.jpg

But i have so much more intercooler then what's showing. And I need it to be used.

http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/adm_rsx/6a3e218c.jpg

So I wanted to get opinions on how to get this thing to be most efficient while still keeping clean body lines. It's a street car but I want it to be an efficient one. Not hacked up for track only.

So I made this highly un-exact drawing of some holes i could cut in the bumper.

http://i823.photobucket.com/albums/zz159/adm_rsx/675BC7F9-0C3E-4A78-BEA2-FDCC55B912A5-21128-00001421F5679CE2.jpg

But I was thinking of it being a templet like the golden eagles diffusers ect.

What are your opinions and/or what could you do for me to get what I'm lookin for? Does anyone know a brothers uncles step dad that owns a machine shop and could make this or would holes just look better?

Opinions and recommendations wanted an needed. THANKS

Idk if there's anyway to make it look clean, how about removing the license plate or moving it somewhere else? Maybe also try n use something to direct all of the in coming air toward the ic.

maybe even consider getting another bumper for when u go race and u can completly hack it up without worrying about looks

I will definitely be moving the license plate elsewhere or just off completely. The cars rarely running so that shouldn't be an issue with law enforcement.

I'm not too keen on the circles but more like ovals. I would love to use these just not sure how it'd look. (the two smaller ones)

But monjarassi, that's to the effect of what I'd like to do, yes.

I love the way you made yours. Too bad the Rsx front end is pointed vs semi flat or a slight curve.

We'll see man. I'm in the talks with golden eagle right now about doing a custom one. But I may make something before hand. I honestly just don't know lol

I would do this... cut out the bottom of the top and somehow build more of a tunnel inside the bumper so the air doesn't go around the intercooler... hard to explain and I'm at work...

Look at the bishimoto 1000hp civic front end. That is how I cut mine.

See its a little easier for the Si. My front end comes to a point. The Si is more rounded or semi flat. Sorta hard to explain but damn does it suck.

Why dont you look into an aftermarket? Ive seen some that would help airflow, have you considered that?

I haven't seen any front bumpers I like. I also worry about fitment. I want a quality fit. But a race look. Considering its mainly my race car I'd still like to keep her clean flowing.

Understandable. In your situation, you could either cut the holes in the front bumper, or do what fred did (what ep3 guys do) and cut the bumper to have a larger opening. Up to you. In the mean time, you could cut the underpart of the bumper to allow more airflow towards the top of the IC. That would help without changing the look of the bumper, just be careful when taking it off/putting it on because of the rigidity loss. Know what I mean?

Yea that makes sense. I'll have to think it out. I have all kinds of time to figure it out before the car fires over again.

I'll break out the painters tape tonight and tape up where I'd think holes should go and look. Then I'll post em up

Hell yea I was on iTunes app store looking for photoshop so I could try that out. I had thought about that but wasn't sure I'd like it. Could you photoshop the 2 piece diffusers in? I like to see that as well. Thanks again man.

Adam, what I'm thinking you could do is...

http://i46.tinypic.com/suyqna.jpg

Not the best photoshop, but you could round the edges instead of get them to a point, and you could line the outline with that black corner lining from Home Depot. I think it's called gutter lining or something like that, it's for protecting sharp edges

Thanks for the drawing man. I'll have to take it into consideration. I think I'd much rather have those eagle diffusers but if I cant get them to fit your option may be a solution.

Sup petefromthestreet, lol. I like that idea I was going to get like some mesh like the grill and just have it powerdercoated to black and screw it into the inside of the bumper. But I am just going to get a backdoor IC so I can run the fd2 conversion and not cut my bumper up.

Wassup dude. Lmao. Like the name huh? Yea I think I'd like to stay away from cutting the bumper completely. I think the IPG or eagle diffusers will be my final route.
