Sounds good I'll email him first thing in the morning. Thanks martin. -Sal

BWR manifolds have been known to creep. But it sounds like you need a 4-port for such a small spring. A 4-port solenoid will force your wastegate to maintain better boost levels

Still a buster.

;)

Actually, that's not necessarily true. It could be a minimal boost leak from a coupler, incorrectly routed vacuum lines, or something else to that matter. So you have a few options to see what's going on. Let's begin diagnosing. What's your vac line setup?

Many people have had issues with creep for having too small of a wastegate spring. It could be quite a few incorrect factors, and doesn't necessarily mean it's strictly poor manifold design. civicgrl89 has a BWR manifold in her hatch and doesn't have crazy 6x boost creep issues.

I love my BWR manifold, no complaints here

I have a question isn't BWR nothing more than skunk2 or higher end skunk 2 parts if such a thing exist ?

The only thing that causes creep is the wastegate and it's related parts. So if the vac line going to the bottom port if the gate has a leak, you may see some creep. If there is a leak in a coupler you would actually lose boost not creep above wastegate. If the lines were hooked to wrong to the wastegate you would creep so instantly to boost cut it isn't even funny (has happened to me when I was making sure my lines were hooked up correctly way back when I had serious boost creep issues). Another cause although unlikely is the diaphragm in the wastegate is torn. But I would say it's damn likely it's the manifold if many people have boost creep issues on that manifold.

What size wastegate is it? A larger gate will help some, but if the manifold is not designed to flow well to the wastegate a larger gate will only do so much.

A small wastegate spring doesn't cause creep. If it isn't creeping for someone on a larger spring it just means the creep is being somewhat offset by the larger spring. Basically a small spring really tests the manifolds design to see if it can flow well for power and still have very good flow to the wastegate for proper boost control. VitViper

all i did was change my vaccum lines to a thicker line and new stainless pushlock fittings. It creeps 1-2 psi if that. I dont even have a name brand manifold, its a company DB fab that did it 3 years ago. Now, i did however port the hell out of the collector and wastegate runner.

Im running a 10psi spring.

I might as well give a little update.

I brought my precision 6265 DBB turbo to WCF so Precision could take a look at it. The exaust seal was leaking i guess, so they kept it. I received it back in 2 weeks, 200 bucks TOTAL (including shipping to canada) for a complete tear down, rebalance, seals, cleaned and a new restrictor inside. I was amazed with how it looks.

No shaft play. Im excited to get it back installed and running.

Picked up a DEI turbo blanket for 80 bucks at WCF

but of course, i need to delete my power steering because the runners come in contact. I grabbed a karcepts ac/ps kit. Next is to sell my id1000 in favor of some 2200s, and find a twin disc.

Id like to get 600-650whp this year and run some mid 10s. Id be extremely happy with a mid 10 second street car :P

I think something is bottle necking the set up. Maybe i shouldve dropped the exaust. but 24 psi on c16, i was hoping for little over 600whp. But it will do!

Looking at the datalog, i dropped out of boost between my 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. If i kept in the throttle, im certain i wouldve went faster.

By the looks of this, my 4th gear was slightly starting to spin.

im running a competition clutch. 4 puck sprung. Its the biggest i could go besides a twin disc. Im very suprised it held up so far, especially with over 400 trq.

my next step is axles and a new manifold (or modify this one for another gate)

With the amount of $$ spent on parts you could have your DP for our NSX. ALthough the integra should be fun this summer.

its been a slow process. Bought an s2k pump to be modified and a few other small stuff.

We are still getting snow, and i was getting depressed so i went to the garage and took the cover off.

I ran into a small problem. Using the z1 head, the coolant ports on the back arent the same as a A2 head. There fore, my bottom wastegate runs right into the coolant thing on the side of the head. I called Mike at ktuned, and he thinks their side adapter will help clear. If it doesnt, i dont know what else to do beside running no heat

Not much to update.

Got everything in. Installed the aem infinity, went to update and the program crashed. Long story short, it's at aem for the past week awaiting repairs.

over a year later, and it still isnt done on the dyno. Between AEM infinity, tuners and vtc issues, im almost ready for a part out.

https://scontent-ord1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xat1/v/t1.0-9/1546385_907317689362945_1840346803662258072_n.jpg? oh=be34e01543cd8513c05a1d7003dc99c1&oe=56E7FC7F

Got it to the dyno and left it there. First thebrand new ktuned v3 hall effect sensor was shot. I had to send up my spare tps to fix it.

Alt belt broke.

Now im having vtc issues. Its not following the target vtc. Not sure if its a setting in the infinit wizard, or need a new PNC vtc sensor.

next step is to put back kpro

One issue, after initial dyno session mid summer, came to realise i was leaking out compression on a cylinder. Did a leak down and somehow i had 2 bent supertech valves.

So i replaced them all with ferrea comp plus valves.

That a proper machined on deck guard?

On oem sleeves? Considering something similar myself, any cooling issues? Heard it bandied about when mentioning by deck guards like

boosted_teg

Local machine shop did the machine work and assembly to the specs we asked for. I assembled the head and rest.
Jonezy Its a CNC Werx block. They machine the water passage around the oem sleeves to accept their aluminum block guard. Theres no gaps or tolerances like you'de get from the traditional drop in block guards.

http://s16.photobucket.com/user/trickeng/media/IMG_0592.jpg.html

There's A CRAP load of cars running this. I believe the fastest is running low 9s and up in the 800whp area.

On the dyno and idling i have no heating issues. I don't really expect to have any with my fan set up.

I made 580whp and 400trq on oem sleeves (no guard) 87mm bore on a 2.0 litre haha There shouldnt be an issue trying push 700 with my new motor

Good to hear. Some companies are offering same thing in UK now and it's very cheap compared to messing about with sleeves etc. definitely worth a look into then!

Thanks for taking the time to answer
