By this point I cooked a bearing in my m62 by running a 3" snout pulley and an r40 crank pulley, So I needed to rebuild my blower, sent it to steigmeyer for ceramic bearings, silicone couplers and a port and polish, I wanted to try nitro-meth injection so I stripped the rotors as well

So you are Using both the blower and turbo? You don't think the supercharger will pose as a restriction for you. Also what about compressing already compressed air?

If you can make it work it will be a beast. Good luck to you. Sick build nonetheless.

I have a new secret prototype tb on its way tomorrow... the old blower had the tl-sh tb. I sold it, went j35 and now we might be testing a new one

the blower's purpose is to spool the turbo, nothing else. at a set psi, a manual boost controller will turn of the supercharger solely making the car turbo

manifold design will stop the sc from restricting the turbo

I have a friend in the process of acquiring parts for a true compound charged build running both a jr m62 and a very small turbo to be able to see 25+ psi in a fit, where there is simply no room for a massive turbo

why choose oem vs aftermarket? Lost me are you speaking of the fd or 1-4 gears?

Helicals are the cut of the factory gears. You can use a PPG 1-4th and factory 5th and 6th and you won't hear much of the straight cuts when cruising in 5th and 6th.

why are you running 4 port boost solenoid? just curious :)

ksboi
06-07-2012, 12:23 PM
4 port helped vitviper car spool up faster. My boy Chris got some from Vit so I am assuming so did he. Its on 8thcivic under turbocharged. He has a graph that his psi came on 2000rpms faster. Also those ppg gears are high as fuck! 1-4th is 3500.

aLmk
06-07-2012, 03:11 PM
Not only a faster spool, but the 4 port allows you to achieve higher pressures with lower rated springs. For example Vit was able to achieve like 22-23psi with a 3psi spring. The makes boost by gear much more effective.

Awesome build, can't wait to see how it performs!
